Hey balkan architect, you make amazing videos which help out Revit users a lot including me. Honestly I think you don’t get the likes you videos deserve. On your question on why the section extents does not move with he section head, i think its because you might want the section head in a different position away from the extents. For example when I’m doing working drawings, I like to have section lines beyond my dimension lines but I don’t want the section extents there. But that said, it should be the same for the elevation too 😅

Hello Marek, how do you make section header show on multiple floors? I created a section on Ground floor. But when I go to First floor, I can't find the section header anywhere on the view.

Great tutorial! Do you have a recommendation for what to do when you have a large floorplan that is split up by scope boxes and then you have a section that spans those scope boxes? I can't seem to get it to look correct in paper space, the annotation extents ends up being really large to encompass the head or tail which is on the other side of the building.

Revit does it for you automatically once you place the view in a sheet and name the sheet. I'm looking for a way to do it manually but I other than edit the properties in the sheet view, i dont know

A couple of problems I have: Our office drawing numbers are to the British Standard document naming convention, so for example: P6138_12-HOW-A0-GF-DR-A-D1. That is great on the sheet Title frame but not so good in section heads. Also the figure in the section head for the detail number is not the same when the section line is viewed in plan and in another section. What does the detail number refer to if not the section. Maybe you could do one of your excellent videos explaining this?

Oh, I see the detail numbers do work on the sheet, so it is just the drawing number issue and I'm not sure if this is really a section annotation or a title sheet annotation problem.

Most firms reduce their drawing number down to the key fields and then the other parameters are sheet parameters, concatenated in the titleblock. I have an article about the national annex standard in revit that might help; www.bimguru.com.au/post/iso19650-revit-sheet-numbering

Sections in Revit sucks. U can’t make bended section. You have to create multiple sections and merge them together. I seriously don’t understand why important thing like this isn’t available.
