HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

are the cameras salvageable or are they water damaged/burnt out? If they where replaced as a upgrade they could still be used for home/low cost housing surveillance (or even webcams/nanny cams if you could set the zoom low enough)

I have read that without the original security code they will not work even if they're not broke but I really don't know!

@@lewisgiles8855 it's easy to bypass the security code in most of them - there is either a default override code or you can simply reset the camera to default depending on the brand/model - I could be wrong but it's something I have experience with on some Sony relics

Security camera sausages are rarely found in groups of 3. That's a very lucky find. They have a unique taste to them as the largest part of their life cycle involves partially stealing souls for almost 90% of their diet. The ones you found are perfectly ripe. Impressive. These would fetch a princely sum at market.

Apologies for my ignorance. What is the slag material which forms on the surface every time? Its being removed with a spoon every video. Why is it separating and not melting down with the rest?

The slag is a combination of things, it's all of dirt, paint, and the metal that oxidizes while smelting. I'm not sure about aluminum slag, but in theory, if a current was applied to the slag while it is molten, he should be able to recover a good amount of the aluminum.

I believe that he was leaving a bit of molten metal in the crucible because it really helps to melt the unmolten metal much faster
