HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

It is 6 degrees outside .. & I turned off the heat because of all of the cooking today for Thanksgivings. I just woke up in a house that is 15 degrees when my dogs crawled on top of me to use me as a heat source. LOL for some reason having a 50 lbs puppy laying on my face & neck kept me from sleeping.

Great job as always man!! Still not sure why I watch a man melt junk but I like it! 😂 In the future to help yourself out when smashing things, you can put them in a burlap sack or net or something. Not very cinematic but you'll be able to beat on it and not worry about losing everything.

Mirrors can actually break in high heat situations, especially when the heat is turned off. They cool down too fast, causing them to crack or even shatter.

Definition of dedication is Doing a melt at 35deg C, hardcore 😂 great vid as always! Not that this is relevant for this vid, I thought I’d mention this anyway, when I strip motors I use a hammer and large chisel to cut the returns off the windings, then punch out the rest the same as you. It’s definitely more time consuming than your way but no mess / waste and oddly more satisfying. Cheers for the vids 😊

It's terribly hot there. Here in Argentina, we are preparing. When aluminum and steel are stuck together, there is no choice than put everything in the crucible and let the aluminum melt, leaving the steel intact. When you see a broken and cracked crucible, it is better to write it off. Big hug friend, good video like every Friday and greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷👋🏻💪🏻

I was thinking that the rings and crank mounts were going to suck to deal with and, yep, stopping to pull them out each time. On a fun note, those birds look like they're from the crow/raven family of birds. If so, they're probably smart and will remember you being nice to them. They'll even pass the word on to others that you're a good guy too. Pretty amazing birds.
