security DOG handler in the uk

I am a Security Dog Handler and have question for you. How are you going to juggle doing taxi driving and a Security Dog Handler. A security dog handler self employed or not is a 24/7 job, nightshifts are mainly what you will be working but once a shift is done you then have to make sure the welfare of your dog is maintained, fed, groomed, exercised, trained at home and with a trainer monthly. Also the costs that go into a Security Dog Handler such as a suitable vehicle, dog, dog housing, dog food, vet bills, CT Training, Training equipment, on the job equipment (lead, collar, training tools) it isnt just a job you can do part time.

Theirs a big difference between a security dog and a protection dog next to no training is needed for a security dog I am a dog trainer trust me I know.....

Basic training is all security dog’s need and the handler, a protection dog is a whole other story, all working dogs including the guide dog are very different and training too, a security dog doesn’t want to hear hello or no it wants you to just go.. Anyone can buy a van and put security guard dog on it

Totally Agree,TKK9 another person who knows it all but knows nothing. Looks half asleep if you ask me. What's he going to do bung the dog in the boot while he does his takeaway round, and saying if you lose the job you got other job to go to he got it all sorted for him and his mates from abroad. So when you get bitten by his 2 minutes training and no insurance good luck he be out of here quicker than the boat that brought him.
