@@DirtyMistress I agree with the original commenter .. they should definitely file a complaint against the employee . Chris did everything right & they had no reason to act like that . Plus making a complaint will prevent that from happening to somebody else . This is the busiest (&stressful) time of the year , but just cause you’re having a bad day doesn’t give you permission to take it out on people that don’t deserve it . Had that been Chris who had a bad day & took it out on the employee , there would be complete outrage .

It actually sounds like the employee either didn’t want to do their job, or they just didn’t know how. From someone whose an ex-retail employee, Chris did everything right. Sounds like not one of the employees did. I’ve worked Christmas multiple times in retail, doesn’t give you an excuse to treat every customer as sketchy. We call the game pass the parcel in the UK: so you pass the parcel around a circle until the music stops, then the person who has it unwraps a layer. Each layer has like a sweet inside so everyone gets something, and the present in the middle is like a toy or something. It's more like a kids party game, but still really fun!!

There are two diff games - the one Jess said with the oven mitts and dice - that’s wrapped in the clear wrap and every couple of layers there’s a small gift like scratch card etc then large gift in middle. The other is for kids called pass the parcel - a gift for the middle wrapped in wrapping paper passed round to music, when music stops that person unwraps a layer, each layer has a sweet/lolly. Pass the parcel is a game we play on little kids bdays in the uk x

We play pass the parcel here. We use the dice and oven mitts (the person unwrapping has to wear two oven mitts), but the wrapping is plastic wrap (which is harder to unwrap with oven mitts on) and there are little gifts along the way (like lottery tickets, gift cards, chapstick, silly putty, hand lotion maybe some other gag gifts) to the larger gift. Jess, I think your useful gift was great!!!! Good work!!! Happy New Year!!!! God Bless!!!!

I worked at BB as loss prevention for 4yrs. We always put a sticker on returns. Unfortunately on holidays we were more alert because of higher theft. People would always take jackets and stuff things. But we also had cameras were we were able to just keep and eye on customers. We were never allowed to follow customers so im surprised he escorted you out or got next to you that is not how best buy works. We weren't allowed to chase anyone if they had stolen something 🤦♀️

Merry Christmas and Happy New year!! In Australia we have a kids party game played at most parties called 'Pass the Parcel' similar to what you played but every layer of wrapping has lolly (candy) or chocolate in it and the last layer has a bigger gift. Im sorry for leaving a comment so late. So… Best Buy Protection Plan with ADH (accidental damage) doesn’t mean they’ll do a rapid exchange, the ones that are rapido exchange, usually has an (R)on the right side after gsp. Some of the products like for example computers, cameras has gsp with adh, but those specifically is send to get repaired, if it doesn’t have any chances to get repaired, that’s when the exchange occurs. Not trying to defend the employee, maybe the way he worded things were not okay or correct, but the system when you try to exchange it, it says that it needs to be sent to repair. Also I think that the security to escort you out of the store was a bit too much. Hope this helps 😊 And hope you guys have an amazing new year

the reason Lilia has seen it on peppa pig is because 'Pass the Parcel' is a CLASSIC kids party game, there's no oven its, and instead of the way you explained it, when the music goes you pass it round the circle and whoever is holding it when the music stops gets to peel off a layer (people usually put little things like individual sweets, jokes etc. in the outer layers and then the winner is the one who unwraps the last layer and keeps the present

I’ve seen the “oven mitt game” however it sounds very much like pass the parcel? We do “Dirty Santa” which is where everyone buys a present to the value of whatever is set. Then everyone draws a number out of a hat. First person picks whatever present they like, unwrap then second person can either pick a new present from the pile or steal the present from the first person. If this is the case then person one picks another present. Then person three picks from pile or person one or two’s present. And so on.. however the presents can only be “stolen” twice. Takes forever to explain.. but it is lots of fun!
