To anyone else who is complaining about Eldad's attitude: THINK before you type. Eldad is not pushy or aggressive. He's just firm with his directives. He needs to be in situations like this. It's very important to have a plan, but one can't really be formed until they get to the scene and see what they're working with (buildings, fences, roads, etc.). So his mind is working a mile a minute trying to figure out the best outcome for everyone. One wrong move could get a rescuer bit or injured, or send a scared dog running into traffic and get it killed. It's easy to judge from the safety of your computer. Sorry, but it really upsets me to hear people complaining about a guy who has devoted his life to helping innocent animals and putting himself on the line every day. Geez. smh.

So many people abandon their dogs. There are millions of homeless dogs in the US alone. People do it because they can't afford them anymore, they move, they have a baby and no longer have time for the dog, they won't housetrain them properly so their home is being destroyed (and they blame the dog), or they just don't want them anymore. Most people will take their dog to a shelter in that situation, but some people are heartless. There are also situations where the dog runs away, either because they're being abused/neglected or weren't kept securely (in either case it's the owner's fault, even if it was an accident, it's 100% preventable) and usually in those cases, the dog isn't microchipped so even if they're found by someone, they can't be returned.

I have two beautiful dogs I got from my local humane society, one was an owner surrender, he's a beautiful St Bernard mix the other was a stray, adopted and returned broken heart Sharp-pei mix. She is so wonderful. I just find it so strange that anyone could abandon their pet.

A problem one does have to look out for is that they're strong enough that if not properly socialized their play behavior can be dangerous and they can hurt someone (thinking small kids and the like) who isn't prepared for it without meaning to.

My preferred breed was so SUPRISED that the rescue went so well! The breed need calm routine and to bond with family or owners . Im only 3rd rescue of GDS. So please get him a home soon cause foster etc, too many changes not good for this breed. They are loving and loyal breed running scared in that traffic area made my heart stop had to look away from screen. Great rescue lovely boy!!!!

Great job, as always. German shepherds can be pretty dangerous compared to most of the other dogs you rescue, but you handled it really well. I was afraid the dog was going to run into the road in the beginning. The security guards were extremely helpful. I wonder how tall that one guy was.

Philz3TT A scared dog that doesn't know what is happening could be dangerous. Especially a german shepherd, with how strong of a bite they have. But the rescuer took it very slow and made sure the dog was more calm and knew he was being helped.

You'd think as often as these guys do this that they would learn that dogs pay attention to your emotions, not your words. This guy always shouts out "that's OK" in a tone that says to the dog "I'm worried. Run. Hide. Anything could happen."
