Such a beautiful, subtle texture! Thanks for sharing. :) I love blankets like this for new stitches. It’s long enough to get the repetition down, and short enough to be easy.

I don’t think so at all. I make many blankets using ILTY, so I think it would be just fine 😊

So is it 3 + 3 to turn? Because you say 126 for 3 X 12 and then 129 ch.
@AmandaCrochets10 күн бұрын
You will make your chain in a multiple of 3.

@AmandaCrochets Also, do you know why my sc’s are twirling up?
@AmandaCrochetsАй бұрын
@ it’s possible your tension is too tight. If this is the case, I suggest going up a hook size for the chain and possibly first row and then switching back to your other hook for the remainder of your project. You want to keep your tension as even as possible to avoid curling or big gaps.
@user-il9ee2ds2sАй бұрын
@ tysm! definitely going to use this tip!

I'd like to ask a question please, but, before I do, let me say that I'm a knitter. I can do basic crochet, however, I am nowhere near the level of some of the gorgeous things I've seen crocheters make. I watch lots of crochet podcasts (lots of knitting ones too). From what I've seen, and this is only my experience, these crocheters are using mostly acrylic yarns and rarely wool, cotton or silk yarns. Can anyone please tell me why this is? I have no problem with acrylic yarns, I use them myself, especially for baby things and blankets, I was just wondering why I'm seeing so many using only one type of yarn.
@AmandaCrochets3 ай бұрын
That’s a great question! I can’t speak for other crocheters, but for me, I find wool yarn to be too scratchy. I mostly use acrylic yarns as I find them to be more affordable and soft. I do use cotton yarn for dishcloths/hot pads though. I think it sometimes comes down to affordability, what’s available in someone’s area, and personal preference. I hope that helps a little 😊
@sindythebeautiful3252Ай бұрын
For items like baby blankets that will get washed a lot, I will use acrylic. For my personal stuff I use washable wool or cotton as I find synthetics don't breathe, but darn they come in some beautiful colorways.
@AmandaCrochetsАй бұрын
@@sindythebeautiful3252 cotton is wonderful to work with for baby blankets 😊
