Well, you should clock the real speed! ;) When I ckeck it with a chrono, I count 13 second! Also, the scan phase starts at 00:09 and ends at 00:22 within the video. In total 13 second too. Count this for both jaws, its not as fast as the video want to show.

Great video thanks for posting. This technology is to see hard tissues only right? does it see cavities?Are there any x rays needed or this technology is self sufficient for hard tissues visualisation for cavities?? Would any dentist ask for x rays after showing them the images of the hard tissues for cavities with this technology? Does it work for the jaw joints regarding a popping jaw that gets somewhat stuck?? Thank you very much in advance for your reply.

HI Markus - sorry for the long delay in getting back to. The technology can help identify caries but a dentist would probably want to confirm it with an x-ray.

what does xray have to do with an intraoral scan? Exactly, nothing. This is only a new way of taking an impression( the classic one is the metal thing with the "silicone" in it which is put into the mouth)...it is used for a crown/ inlay /onlay /implant /orthodontic treatment. Diagnostic is possible, but the only valid diagnostic is done clinically ( by the doctor), by xray( mostly bite-wing) and /or other methods such as light translucency . The temporomandibular joint is examined by palpation or a panoramic or 3D xray. Regards

Hi , great demo, what are the specs of the pc used to capture the data?, i Have seen other demos done at shows and they are running on laptops, and they are quite a bit slower..... Seems it would be best to buy one running on a nice modern desktop?

It´s always said it´s pain free, so I don´t understand why my dentist had to give me 2 painful (and expensive) anaesthetic injections?? I find it much more expensive and invasive than the classical method.
