That is indeed a large studio. I would absolutely put in a Murphy bed with shelving on the sides that when you put it up has a sofa underneath. I've seen some that are beautiful. I love this studio, very spacious! I love all the storage, and I just realized that lower cupboard is built over the stairs! Lots of space for sleeping and dining, living room entertaining. I think it would be easy to set up. also, FYI - if you spend a little extra money for a shower curtain, say at Pottery Barn or the likes, you can get one that is washable, made of fabric, not plastic. You can get them on Amazon, too. Throw them in the wash every time you wash your towels and/or linens. Just a thought. anyway, this is a great, little place 😉
@thoughts38974 жыл бұрын
You always get the plastic liner --cheap and replaced every couple of months, and a cloth washable shower curtain. Of course. Just a bit of a hassle to unhook and replace liner, but not a big deal. I am not a fan of that kind of door around tub.
@teridumbrigue76434 жыл бұрын
@@thoughts3897 Maybe you always do, but I never use a plastic liner, have had mine for nearly 4 years. High end hotel type shower curtains don't need liners, just need to be washed with your towels

@@thoughts3897 plastic liners can be washed in a washing machine. Just don't put in the dryer.
@thoughts38974 жыл бұрын
@@teridumbrigue7643 Doesn't it get all wet though when you shower? Either that or your bathroom floor gets all wet. I have a nice shower curtain, too, I just don't want my floor all wet --I have an old-fashioned tub though. If I tuck the curtain into the tub, then that gets all wet --hence the liner. :)
@potsylvania3 жыл бұрын
Cloth shower curtains made out of polyester or nylon, throw them in the washer with a little bleach every couple of months and spread them out after your shower instead of leaving them bunched up in the corner of the tub, also turn the exhaust fan in the bathroom on for ten minutes after. One of those closets next to the kitchen might be a good spot for a washer dryer.

Love it! Seems to be a great deal for the location. Also, the kitchen and bathroom are pretty generous for a studio. One if the closets could be converted into a small office if you didn't need it. I'd definitely invest in some space saving furniture like a Murphy bed/couch set up and that platform could be a reading nook with cushions or also a desktop or plant stand. Use your imagination. The views are wonderful! No brick wall to gaze at.

@Bobrogers994 жыл бұрын
From the map, it looks like less than 10 minutes to one subway station and 15 minutes to another, so you have a variety of lines available. Not bad! You have two supermarkets within a couple of blocks, and there must be a laundromat nearby. Second floor above a deli works for me, though traffic noise at night might be an issue. That's a BIG studio, tons of closet space, and the bathroom and separate kitchen were updated sometime in the past decade. Too bad there isn't in-building laundry. I don't often say this, but I like this one a lot, and this is one studio I could recommend for a couple. That would bring a reasonable price down to VERY reasonable per person, especially considering the location.
