The bunny hops, pig tails and snazzy socks has Princess Lacey looking fashionably on point, she peruses the backyard admiring her lush Japanese maple tree, fabulous Koi pond filled with beautiful vibrant Koi fishies and Mr. Frog 🐸 sunning himself on the edge of stone. Soon enough he’ll be cooling off on a nice wide water Lilly. (Ribbit!) Miss Lacey took in the sights, said hello to her frens and enjoyed the backyard but our precious Princess was daydreaming of curling up in a corner, comfy sofa or her cozy bed and enjoying a peaceful and oh so relaxing nap confident her gorgeous fur mama is nearby. The calming effect that the impressive aquarium puts out only adds to the serenity and restful nap. Princess Lacey is wise and classy just like the breed demands and a Lady always knows when it’s time… 😌 have a wonderful nap and sweet dreams Miss Lacey. 🥰 Happy Fri-yay! 🌹

Your videos never seem long enough. But today seemed exceptionally short. Maybe I feel like I just haven’t seen Lacey or heard your voice in such a long time. I don’t know why I feel like that, but I do. Lacey has such a strong spirit. Don’t think she’ll ever give up. Love that about her. The aquarium is absolutely gorgeous. The color scheme is so peaceful to me. I see purples and blues which to me are relaxing. Truthfully, I find it very therapeutic. Your yard is just blossoming with life and I love to see all the new growth. It seems like one day the pond is all water and next everything is grown in. Life sure does go fast. Years seem like months, months seem like weeks, weeks seem like these days, days seem like hours, hours seem like minutes, minutes seem like seconds…but that’s what happens as one ages. Look at Lacey building up quite a speed bounding through the garden 🐾❤Lacey's socks look like they're giving her that little extra paw grip on any smooth surfaces. Lacey looks extra cute in her socks. I know she wouldn't have it any other way 💅🤩 The koi pond is starting to wear its summer attire and the water lilies are already looking lovely❇ I'm sure the koi and goldfish will appreciate the shade they offer when summer peaks in a few weeks, and I'm sure the local frogs will love having their own little pond islands to sit on 🐸 Your Japanese maple looks absolutely gorgeous. I have three in my garden but they are all just three or four years old, so are still so very small. But it's nice to see in your garden what they might (hopefully) grow up to look like. I am amazed that Lacey doesn’t mind wearing her little socks 🧦 They really do help her a lot with her walking, especially inside of the house on all of the ceramic tile floors 👍🏻 We are so pleased that the pond is starting to perk up, we always miss seeing the fish during the colder weather. The huge yellow Koi just keeps growing! 💛🐟😱 We have another Japanese Maple 🍁 in our front yard that is even larger than the one by our back deck. They are probably almost around 25 years old and have been trimmed many times. Hi Diane n Lacey. Omg Cocco has the same vocal whine when he wants something, anything. Cocco doesn't have mobility issues but he does have seizures n cant do zoomies any more. N since November Cocco has stopped breathing afterwards from the seizures 4 times . I had to do doggy CPR. N he started Breathing again. Only a few seconds later. He's had alot of testing done n the vets still can't find the cause of the seizures. I think he gets short of breath from zoomies n he has a seizure. last one he only stopped breathing for one breath in his nose. Cocco will be 16 in July. He is now taking a allergy pill that's helping with his cough. But burning Vicks helps the most. His lungs are perfect. My friend who is a veterinarian says he's still eating n still energized by working as my medical alert service dog for me n sometimes total strangers. Two weeks ago he alerted on a woman who seconds after he told me the woman was in trouble, she almost passed out from very low blood sugar. I was on my way back home from having a chemical stress test. My cousin was with me n Cocco to be his babysitter n mine after my procedure. I had my eyes closed in the mini bus because I didn't sleep much the night before. Thankfully my cousin saw the alert n then Cocco barked at me to get my attention something he never does. Thankfully she wore a Dexcom. N Thankfully I always carry glucose tablets. Her blood sugar levels were only 53. My Cocco saved another life. He's getting old n his time on earth is short now but he n I love each other fiercely n he never wants to stay home alone, He is always given a choice. He truly loves what he can do. He smells a diabetic across a large waiting room n his nose is more accurate than a glucometer. Cocco is my little hero.

Is she holding up her left front paw limping?? My dog was doing this one day and I picked her up looked at bottom of foot. There was a broken piece of acorn shell stuck between her pads. Glad it wasn't serious. Just a thought.

Lacey is like, “I’m the queen of zoomies and even aging can’t stop me!! It may have slowed me but watch me hop and show you what resilience looks like!!😍😍😍” I definitely agree that getting her to be active and do some exercise is a good idea. I believe it helps with circulation physically and mentally, it would give her the familiarity of her daily routine. The way I look at it, fresh air and nature is important and you have a lovely yard and pond and she’s benefiting from the sunlight too!! 🌞🌞🌞Although she seems to be in a hurry to go indoors, I know Lacey loves her walks with you and appreciates all that you do for her!!💖💖💖 Yes, to be honest I do love that you watch over her like a toddler on the stairs because it shows me the raw and honest scenes of the owner of a shihtzu in her golden years. You show us the balance of a mom who lets Lacey know she can still be as independent as possible while also letting her know she can count on you to help her when she needs it. You are helping her age gracefully and with dignity and I do think this is because you have experience with Nikki and you know what to do. 🥰🥰🥰

Oh my how Freddy Frog has grown too, I can't get over the size of the yellow Koi , I do realize in the right conditions they grow very large. Such a wonderful yard to enjoy Lacey.

Oh I know, the yellow Koi is huge! 💛 They can live up to 35 years in our environment and 200 years in the wild!! 😱🤯

Lacey looks cute but also looks like she is in a lot of pain. I saw this when our shih tzu became unsteady on her feet. She would not walk on hard surfaces, carpet only. Does lacey take any meds for pain? I hope your Vet has advised on her current health. It is so hard to watch our dogs age. God Bless!

Lacey is doing well and she is on anti-inflammatory meds that help her to feel better. She has little socks that make it easier for her to walk on our bare floors. She goes to her vet often. Thanks so much for your concern! 💜😊

Hey Kerri! All is well here and the weather should be nice now and the pond will look better each and every day 🐟🐸 Lacey sure is one determined little girl.
