From a young age & onward, M appears to be a woman who wanted granduer for herself at all cost to herself & others. Once a royal, she became dissatisfied w/her status, her place, in the royal family (i.e. not being first & most prominent) as she sees herself pursuing great things w/no strings attached (perhaps having grand, worldly role models of great and prominent leaders & wanting to achieve same for herself). M's vision & the UK's reality didn't mix. M is now on to "Plan B" and H is being strung along. As I said in the beginning, it's sad M has taken this route & couldn't live up to her royal marital duty. I'm sure the Queen, concerned for both H&M, discussed w/M beforehand that royal life (a life of servitude) is not for all & wanted to make sure M was aware of all this kind of life entailed & that M could handle it. M is no Queen Elizabeth (ever watch her inauguration as queen? She pledged a life of servitude to her country). M is no Grace Kelly. And furthermore, M is no Diana, the "people's princess", far from it. Duchess Kate stands out as an excellent example for today's modern women & an example of a future queen. Strong, confident, intuitive, smart. As these women have learned, M needs to learn that respect is earned when one lives up to their own vows and obligations rather than living up to one's own desires and ambitions. M needs to learn that it's not about one person -- herself, it's about the roles each play in the monarchy.
