It does not matter that you were not showing us your new crafty things for us! We still got to see you, the person that helps others in your community! It never entered my mind as to how those banners were made, so Thank You!!

Thank you for showing how you make the banners and that they need to have a way for air to flow through. I never would have thought of that

That was fascinating. I've honestly never thought about how those banners were made. I have a whole new respect for the sign and the people who made it. Thank you for sharing!

This reminded me when I was sewing heavy duty shade cloths for my two garden trellises. I added staggered square wind vents between every vertical support. Every cut edge was covered with binding I made to prevent fraying. The wind vents prevented the trellis from blowing away. I used my heavy duty non-electronic Singer Classic sewing machine.

Omg, you'll need a back massage after this. 😊 Thanks for showing us, & explaining this process.

Reminds me of the sewing I did on banners for church. I didn't use vinyl but regular 60 inch wide home deco, on my dining room table.....those were the days, lol

Are you using a walking foot? Maybe easier and you don’t have to push it
@timothytotten9409Күн бұрын
I’ve tried that before. Doesn’t help. The material is super heavy and wants to stick. A teflon foot actually helps, but I didn’t have one at my laser office, so I didn’t use it.

Holy moly!! What size needle did you use? Your machine must be industrial strength
@joycleckley2881Күн бұрын
You definately need an industrial straight needle. Or 1 from an sewing factory. My MIL purchased some from the factory we both worked in. I got a good education in branding and production work at the tender age of 18. We made clothes with 2 labels, 1 for Saks Fifth Ave amd K-Mart. Same fabric, thread 😂😂😂.

I do have a nice industrial Juki. But I don’t want to carry one banner to my sewing workshop every few months since we need that machine for production of our funeral products.

Reminds me of sewing the dam thing, also known as a hot tub cover. I needed a lot of extra hands to get it all through and out of the machine! Love all your cool equipment
