Just an FYI. You may want to replace the paperclips with coated paperclips because bare metal will eventually develop a sticky coating and will leave rust marks on paper.

I am just about finished reading the Bible (one-year plan) for the first time ever (I'm 64!). I'm thinking ahead to January 1 and what I would like to do for next year. Maybe you could advise me? I could read through the same Bible again (NIV Life Application Study Bible), I could explore certain themes, subjects, people, etc. I bought the Bible Recap that I can use for studying. I also have bought a couple of one-year devotionals/read the Bible in a year. Once I decide WHAT to do, then I have to decide which Bible. I also have a NKJV and a CSB (that I bring to church, because that's the translation our Pastor uses). Then I see all the beautiful study/journal/art Bibles and I think I'd like to do one of those. I'll also add that through this past year I have been highlighting in my Bible things that jump out at me or things I want to remember, both in scripture and in the study notes. And I have been keeping a journal where I write notes each day from the study notes. Do you think I should now try reading/studying another translation? Should I study again, or just read, like you're doing here, making notes in the Bible like you're doing? I am curious about the ESV and the NLT. I want close to word for word, but understandable. I'm thinking I should hold off on my NKJV because it's not as easy to understand as some of the other translations. One more question, the highlighters you have here are different colors. I have just been using bright yellow. Is there any rhyme or reason to when you use each color. I know there's a rainbow Bible. I appreciate any advice you want to give me about what might be good for my second year of reading. Thank you so much, and I'm going to check out this Jesus Bible. Just the name makes me feel happy.

I would go back through and make notes, especially noticing what you are learning about God and the characters actions. Look for repetitions as they are typically important. 😘

Well I have adhd so some of them had a purpose and now sit until my interest is peaked in them again. I love each one of them so much and enjoy having a variety. But that could be because of my adhd.
