This clip hit me so hard. My dad has dementia. He can't balance very well when he walks. Just stepping up on a 2 inch curb requires all his concentration. He just moved into an assisted living home in January and I can't help but imagine him in that group of people crossing. The exhaustion, confusion, and fear on their faces breaks my heart. My heart is with the people of Ukraine 💙💛🇺🇦

At least your dad has a place & is safe. Be thankful! I've been a disabled veteran for 40 years & homeless for 30 years, so I would love to be in his shoes. If I could get to Ukraine, maybe there would be kind hearted people helping somebody like me. America refusing to house their elderly & disabled is incredibly cruel. 40 years of trickle down by both red & blue political parties is disgusting. You & every reader should be ashamed to be American. This war needs to spread worldwide as a class war, so mankind can be rid of the greedy at the top.

I thought of my great grandma who also had Alzheimer's. It makes me feel helpless and weak watching all of the people in Ukraine suffering. As a side note, may I just say that I hope your dad is safe and I hope that you know that you are not alone. Alzheimers is difficult in ways that cannot be explained easily, but I wanted you to know that I will keep you and your dad in my thoughts and prayers.

Yes, she reports the news on location. She has also entered active war zones, been shot at so many times and refused to leave, entered terrorist occupied zones where NO journalist is safe.. and just being a woman could get her killed. She’s helped so many civilians over the years escape hostile territories. She has the label of “Journalist” but the soul of a warrior. And on a side note: Ukraine is the David and Goliath. This is heartbreaking but astounding. From holocaust survivors… old frail bodied women being shoved while protesting - and still not backing down. to housewives; getting their children to safety and retreating back to take the frontline with their husbands. The sheer grit and strength of these women is awe inspiring yet fitting. War is death and destruction. Women create life, they give, they nurture, they raise households.. in dark times, the shimmer of light is largely held by the strength of these women. I’m not downplaying the men. But I have never seen so much coverage of war where civilian women have really been a major highlight. PRAYERS OF PROTECTION AND TO END THIS SENSELESS VIOLENCE 🙏🏼

I was watching this and struck by how small some of their bags are. As someone lucky enough to have always lived in safety the idea of family and friends being killed in a war (either as civilians or as armed forces) is something I have difficulty even imagining but I can easily imagine what it must feel like to be told “you have to abandon your home and everything in it. You can only take what you can carry and walk for miles and miles and you must do this now or risk dying.” What an awful, awful thing.
@UliFandoms2 жыл бұрын
I myself also was born into a peaceful world in Europe - but I know and listened that both my grandmas had to flee their homes/lifes after World War II, just them their kids (like my baby mum and dad), with just what they could carry, not knowing where they would end up living. By that time one of my grandpas was a prisoner of war (for years to come, came home ill and didn't live long) and the other died in the war. When I was born only one grandma still lived and I got to know her -and listened to her life stories. WAR IS EVIL in all its forms - and no one deserves this upon them!

My heart goes out to these people. Seeing the elderly hits me hard, as the only grandparent I have left is in very poor health, and I can't imagine their struggle going in such dire situation. But seeing the lady and her little dog, that one dog on the floor by the soldier who gave it some comfort too, I can't help but also weep for the families who had to leave their little animals behind, and even the animal companions lost in this tragedy. I'm deeply connected to my little buddies, I can't imagine their pain of having to abandon them or even those who lost their owners. May this stupid war end soon... For peace. Oil is a precious, finite resource, and we're squandering it. Well, to be completely honest, perhaps she behaved this way cause was live, and she was trained to act in this specific "empathetic" way, to look more human and close to the spectators. These are tactics used by journalists, it's well known! Don't be mistaken... she's there to recorder as much she and her troupe can, to provide many video contents, that will produce money, even here on youtube. They're not there to help ukranians! Her's only interest is to be credible in front of the audience, in order to not loose her job. But yeah, if we wanna be naive... she tried to help these elderies cause she's a good soul. If this story makes you believe that she's a totally different journalist that the others, tell it to yourself! It's exactly what every media wants you to believe! This is show business, not a non-profit news channel! They shows and act in the way it's more convenient to them. This is how life and companies works...

That's what we call humanity, but the deranged war criminal is hell-bent on erasing us from the earth's surface. I’m Ukrainian working and living in Kenya. Putin says his forces aren’t KILLING civilians. He’s LYING. Check out these UNFILTERED (graphic) VIDEO CLIPS from soldiers & Ukrainians on the ground: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn-5aZKPe5WImsU #SUBSCRIBE for more of this.

@@ElvasOuko I don’t think anyone with a scrap of independent reasoning believes Russia isn’t killing civilians.

@@northerngiant2915 with all media now blocked in Russia and only state media allowed to do reporting, a lot of Russians are only hearing the one biased version of events, Putin tells them he is fighting/ defending, Russia against national extremists

What an amazing reporter. She calmly and clearly tells the audience about what it going on in Ukraine but also helps the people there who are in need.

This is heartbreaking, I think of my nan and she couldn't walk through that, they've lost everything and have no idea of what lies ahead, exhausted and terrified. I wish we could do more than sit back and watch what's going on, just praying and hoping whilst more and more innocent people are losing their lives if not literally then the lives they've built for themselves
