The absolute best bullet trace I ever saw was at Hornsby Rifle Range in NSW Australia. The range faces almost due North and in the late afternoon, you need a very long shade tube over your scope, otherwise all you see is glare. Shooting a snap match at 300m, between 4-5pm and the sun is just above the stop butts. With a good scope (we were using 82mm Kowa's, but have Swarovski now), the bullet looks like a copper streak and is extremely easy to see. As a coach, you could guide your shooter in to the target and see both the trace and the almost illuminated bullet holes. In that scenario, if you were behind the shooter and low, you could pretty much see something very similar with the naked eye. But through the spotting scopes, it was something else. This is an awesome example of that

"Borrowed". Sounds legit........I'm sure that will be a fun phone call in a month or two with the Swaro rep. "STX 115? Nah, we sent that back WEEKS ago. Y'all probably lost it somewhere. Check again." Great job on the footage!!

Man that was seriously cool I kinda wish I never heard the name Area 419. Thanks Johnnys Reloading Bench and I quote Johnny “ Area 419 the bling bling of the reloading world “ then I decided to check out the web store. Now all my money is gone. I have a lot of cool 419 stickers though. All jokes aside love the stuff you guys make even though you’re in the buckeye state GO BLUE!!!!!

What magnification did you shoot these traces at?

These were at 70X, just to see what was possible. Over the next 6-8 weeks we will be using the setup for some more cool things, so stay tuned!
