Very interesting, it certainly rivals the Bovington Tank Museum. A suggestion though - if you do another one of these walkrounds is it possible for you to do a close up of the info boards, pause for a few seconds and then carry on. Doing that would allow us to pause the video and read about the exhibits. It may take longer to do the filming but you could split it into two or more videos. Keep em coming, I look forward to my Wednesday morning fix over a cup of coffee!

I'd even say to go as far as split it into their various categories (German, Soviet, US, Brit, Cold War Soviet, NATO etc) as individual videos.

As a kid I had most of those vehicles, thanks to Monogram and Tamiya kits, and seeing the real vehicles all under one roof is just amazing. I bet the smell of the canvas, O.D. paint, rubber, gear grease and oil in that place is seriously wonderful, those old machines just smell damn good, ya know ? What did the 1940s smell like, Dad ? Gear grease and tobacco, son.......

I've been a couple of times, seen the odd one or two tanks dotted around as I've driven through France too. Not really a tank fan in the true sense, but still very interested. Odd to think how many tanks and guns were in France in ww1 and ww2, now we struggle to see a hand full crammed into a museum these days.

It might only be a non-runner but it has got to be the Jagdpanther - always had a soft-spot for these since first seeing one at the Panzer Museum, Munster in 1984. To see where and how that started as a massive jigsaw to becoming a museum piece is outstanding for all who had a part in getting it to where it is now.

My grandfather was a plumber. He made and kept the compressed air plumbings in a volfram mine for the tools. The mine sold volfram to Great Britain and Germany. Probably you have armour made with that volfram. My grandfather took a piece of volfram incrustated in quartz home, although he could go to jail, and we still have it. He nearly died of silicoses (quartz dust in the lungs). It was a way of our country to stay out of the war. That and trains filled with food, written on the side "Leftovers from Portugal" while people struggled to get something to eat. A different view of WWII...

What is that an M113 or M114 with at first, I thought it resembled an M5 "Stuart" turret, but after watching more of the video I realized it has to be a Saladin turret mounted on it? I believe the Australian Army modified and used a lot of M114s & M113s especially while fighting in South Vietnam/Vietnam. Awesome video of the amazing collection, artifacts, vehicles and facilities along with the presentation of all the equipment. Everything shows the amount of skilled, talented and hardworking mechanics/restorers that have SO much time, energy, blood, sweat and tears invested in this endeavor for current folks and the future generations of people to study, learn from, be educated by and enjoy. Thank you and well done to everyone who makes this possible along with every member of the staff.

That is an amazing collection, far more extensive than I thought it would be, not much missing from the German collection, King Tiger, Ferdinand & a V2 would complete it I reckon, I was working the Docks in Brisbane around 2014 I think it was when a whole bunch of German Armour drove off a Car Carrier, looked like a Panzer 2 & 3 & other various vehicles, I asked where they were going & I was told the Museum in Cairns, I took lots of pics. I think the base coat for all German armour was that dark yellow, in the factory they didn't know what theatre they were being sent to so they left it up to the Troops when they got them.
