@ccheng-jo3hn11 ай бұрын
Agreed. The 1500 was actually doing alright until he made that one mistake. Then everything started falling apart as he didn't see more things (but it's partially due to time pressure) I suspect the reason why this 1500 is at 1500 may be because of time management or inconsistency. But still. Huge difference
@9181shreyasbhatt11 ай бұрын
It felt like the 1500 was prepared that he is going to get outplayed. the 1500 did some good stuff and found some good ideas but a little more confidence is needed. this is a common thing while playing against stronger players.

ive watched a few of these now and they are super useful, thanks so much. I felt a bit stuck at 800-900 for a while playing about 10-15 games a day and even had a losing streak of about 10 games which sent me back down to 700. Took a break and stuck to a routine of a YT video, some daily puzzles and then only a couple of games a day followed by analysis and back up to 850+ now having won 14 out of my last 15 games. Your vids have definitely been a huge help along the way and this format is so good because you get a real understanding of why both players are playing each move (and more importantly why they aren't).

I think your best move at 48:20 was to move your last knight to c6, attacking the b4 bishop, defending the a5 knight and getting your last minor piece into the attack. I'm suprised you didn't even consider it.

The problem of 1500, they thinkin sometimes about nonsense. But anyway, he played good

A large part of it is not quite having the intuitive sense of when tactics should and shouldn't work so we are forced to calculate ideas that someone 300 points higher can instantly dismiss. Then of course there are also the things that we just don't strategically understand so we are looking at the wrong plans for each player.

Imo, Getting the perspective from both players in 'Real Time' is genius! As a 1300 rapid player, I'm often asking myself "Self, why did my opponent respond in the way he/she did?" Seeing a vid like this is great because it allows me the insight from both players simultaneously. A majority of videos i see assume the opponent will make the candidate move, and at my ranking, 75% of the time my opponent doesn't make that 'candidate' move and now that vid is useless 3/4 of my games. This content is innovative, and i would love to see more content like this! Bravo to both players for this video! Ty @nelsi and @jayme !

I was also stuck at 700-800 elo, the best tip I can give you is to check before moving the piece that you are not making any mistakes or blunders, if you follow this little tip then you can easily reach 1200-1400 elo level.

There are 3 things you need to do to reach 1000+. Develop pieces, castle early, and do blunder checks. Do these 3 things before attacking and you’ll be golden

@qazzaqstan11 ай бұрын
Limiting blunders is 100% the biggest factor. My suggestion is make sure you are playing on a reasonable time control and note what you think their next move will be. Then when you analyze after the game you'll see what sort of things you are missing but also what you were looking at instead when you miss them (of course a lot of the discrepancies between what you think they'll play and what they actually play will be because they are also 700 and missed your threat, or they are playing an equivalent but different move).
@stayinspired127111 ай бұрын
I went to 1150 in 3 months when I started..I would suggest you do some puzzles and just focus on tactics you will easily reach 1250 ...I am currently at 1350 ..6 months I have been playing but I am not consistent...
