The Tweakments Guide

The Tweakments Guide

Күн бұрын

I’ve been promising to show you my results after using the @dermaluxled Flex device - and here they are.
I was lent the device in April - it’s a medical-grade light therapy device, the most powerful type of LED light therapy equipment that’s available for home use (it’s mostly used in clinics), and offers red light (for stimulating collagen and elastin production in the skin, and improving hydration), blue light (for denaturing acne bacteria), and near-infrared light (for reducing inflammation in the skin and calming niggling pain in joints).
I know the technology is well-proven - but what could it actually do for my face?
I used it diligently - goodness knows there was plenty of time - for 20 minutes or so, five times a week and by the end of May, I was pretty sure it was doing my skin a lot of good.
In July, once the clinics were open again, I went to have some detailing imaging done by @nickmiedzianowskisinclair of @surface_imaging_ using a Visia machine at the @phiclinic which looked at the extent of wrinkling, pigmentation, sun damage etc in my skin, and compared it to previous images Nick had done for me in February (he is always scanning my skin, to assess the results of one procedure or another, you may have seen his 3D scans on the grid here. But I digress).
You can see on the video exactly what the Visia saw, and what the Dermalux had done for my skin.
It’s an expensive piece of kit - it costs £1,914 - but as you can see, it delivers significant, measurable results.
I’m still using it, and find that those glowing red lights are a real mood-booster on gloomy days, too.
And I’m so thrilled with the results I’ve added the Dermalux Flex to the shop on shop.thetweakm...

The surface imaging with the visia machine looked terrifying! The results from the light therapy device were incredible. Would you say that this device has given you the best results from all at-home devices that you use?

hello Alice, I hope you might be able to help. I bought a Demalux Flex via your site. I am trying to figure out the balance of use. I started by using it daily but I have seen reports that it induces an acute pro0-inflammatory response after use. I know that it's chronic inflammation that is damaging and that acute inflammation may be positive but I just can't find information from the company about how beneficial long-term use is. What I am driving at is - can I overdo it? Is daily use too much? Is initial daily use good but then with a reduction to, say, once weekly? I am concerned that by continuing daily use I might be damaging my skin after initially supporting it. I have tried contacting Dermalux but I haven't heard back from them. Thank you for your advice Best wishes Annie

Informative review. Have you heard of Celluma, the US equivalent? Was wondering if you've any idea how they compare? Is it useful for broken capillaries?
@thetweakmentsguide
@thetweakmentsguide 2 жыл бұрын
It has been tested head to head with Celluma by an independent lab and Dermalux delivered more power - because it uses single-wavelength bulbs rather than multi-wavelength bulbs

No it won’t get rid of broken capillaries but it will reduce redness all through the skin
