I'm a very rational person, and I tried hypnosis. I would say the main thing is that your social anxiety goes away. So people who are already pretty extroverted will be even more willing to look silly in front of others and introverted people like me are more willing to be somewhat silly, if that makes sense. I wouldn't do everything I was told, but I was happy to do some of what I was told, more happy than I would be otherwise. Overall, I didn't like the experience as someone who likes to stay in control and has never been drunk for that very reason.

It actually is real, but certainly doesnt work on everybody. As you can see, Al and the two women sitting next to him were relaxed, but simply it didnt take. Also, the good news is, you wont do something you wouldnt want to do. So you wont be hypnotized into killing someone, or stripping naked, or jumping into the lion's den at a zoo (unless you actually wanted to LOL). Ive tried this because I wanted to stop drinking, but I simply couldnt be put under no matter how hard I wanted to.
@sikander59385 жыл бұрын

People who are more susceptible to hypnosis are often more the casual ones because they don't question things and just follows along. As soon as you have a person who can't stop thinking about that he's about to get hypnotized they are blocking themselves, people who has to have control and having trust issues are the hardest. Hypnosis is a way to trick you, so if you are on your guard it's not going to work. But even the most difficult person can be hypnotized at some point, for example when we sleep we aren't in control, and our mind can wander freely and fool us with our dreams.

Yes, it seems like everybody there was just trying to follow instructions. Even Jenna’s swimming was similar to the anchors trying to relax. Close your eyes, open your eyes, think of sleep, and focus on a point. They all did that because they were trying to participate in being hypnotized. B because ecause Jenna swam a bit, was it because she was hypnotized, or because she was trying to follow instructions to see if hypnotism real. The anchors didn’t seem to do any of the silly suggestions that they didn’t wanna do. The only part that’s slightly hard to understand is both lady anchors said they couldn’t open their eyes. Which weirdly was against the instructions of the hypnotist. It was like they were anti-hypnotized.

@@crusher26638 After reading a bit on Mayo Clinic, Healthline, and Wikipedia (FWIW), I'm starting to SLIGHTLY see how this could be believable when you think of that sleepy state he's putting them in. As a huge dreamer, I'm no stranger to that half-asleep state, when I'm either aware of both my dream and reality, or confused about which one is real - the inputs from both "worlds" can get confused, and my imagination/dreams can still overpower conscious will, since I'm not fully awake. Similarly, I've sometimes had fun saying a few things to family members when they're half awake to hear their funny nonsense responses. So, if it turns out this experience is practically not much different from dreaming while half awake, I could imagine his orders take the place of the internal imagination that "orders" how normal dreams play out - and is why he has to keep up the stream of speech, so they get used to it as they might sleeping with a running fan / white noise. Some less ideal state, like too asleep or my type of reality confusion, could explain those not being able to open their eyes for a while.

Because hypnosis is not mind control. It puts you into a trance state where the ego isn’t at the forefront, so you feel more relaxed and child-like in a free way. The best subjects are the ones who are focused, open, willing, and trust the hypnotist. If there’s resistance from the person they won’t respond to the hypnosis cause again it’s not mind control and it is possible that sometimes some people maybe be partially in trance and not. It’s different for certain people sometimes.
