It's a T-72 with a chicken coop on top. A drone's anti-tank ordnance is a "shaped charge" weapon that must explode while in direct contact with the tank's armor plate, to penetrate to the crew compartment. If triggered beforehand, tank armor is uncompromised. So the sheet metal (coop) might provide enough resistance to trigger the drone (weapon's) fuse, with the ensuing (external) explosion absorbed by the T-72's armor, saving the crew. (or at least they think it will)

The whole gag about it just being thin layers is, that the weight is minimal, but it forces most ammunition to detonate not on the tank armor but before, what reduces the impact on the tank armor massively and by that massively reduces the chance for the hit to destroy or immobilize the tank. That's literally basic physics.

what the heck are they talking about? there have been at least two so far the first that got destroyed in the building it was hiding in with other russian rabble vehicles was apparently destroyed the second that made it's appearance recently has the anti drone thing on the top the first didn't have that device...also that thing isn't some all powerful device other vehicles get destroyed by drones every day that are carrying that worthless russian crap around with it... there is no evidence of any reactive armor (unless it's invisible) on them or any other add on that would "destroy" incoming rounds also they are damaged tanks that can no longer rotate their turrets or maybe even fire their main weapon they are suppose to be getting used as mine clearing tanks but I couldnt see the device for clearing mines in front of the first one the second has something mounted up front that might be a mine clearing device. the only reason it hasnt been destroyed is they haven't taken a direct hit the second had a cluster round go off near it but it was ineffective it seemed even the lightly armored IFV that was following it survived that blast this thing is a pos improvised mine clearing tank it the first one was destroyed the second hasn't been seen since it's debut on video they aren't invincible super weapons
