But seriously, thanks for the succinct version...😊 I had cleaned out my vent area of leaves/debris, but the problem persisted...I have a '12 VW Golf TDI, and I need to look for a similar part... I bought a 1.5 gallon wet/dry vac (only ~$30), but I would need to spend another ~$20+ to get the car lighter adapter (I live in an apt. and do not have an immediately available wall outlet)...but the wet/dry vac is a bandaid - and you may have given me the root of the issue...thanks...

I was getting super frustrated with the water, and it has been raining constantly here - meaning I had more water pooling in that back seat and no way of knowing where the hell it was coming from. Actually a little more gasket seal type of caulking was needed in this whole windshield grill area, but the clogged drain vent was definitely part of the problem.

your the pro brother,i had the same problem with my 69 impala when i first got it.lot of people dont know but from the factory.the 69 impala vent on the passenger side floor vent leaks .because when built. the gasket is stapled to the body but classics never seals right.then the front floor puddles the same.cause of the same leaves and junk build up.thanks for postin this one.👍

I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2.4 L, it has been around 3 years since everytime it rains behind the passenger seat I find three to four inches of water, it has been cold here and the temperature is on the lower 20s, but I promise to myself that when I get a chance and a better weather I will check that out, thanks

Same problem on a 2005 Mustang, but the flapper valves are down low. I pulled them both out with needle nose, from the engine side. They looked just like yours. Next, pull the cabin air filter which due to being soaked is always full of mold. No more flooding. Thanks Guys!

I have a Lincoln Town Car and lately my floor boards on the passenger side, both back and front, are flooded. I cleaned that outlet you point to, which had as much debris as yours, so my question is, would that particular blockage, or the cowl dry rotted gasket issue seen in other videos, also cause water to get to my right REAR passenger floor? Hayley Minish that's a tough one, you just have to start looking at the cowl area and 1st make sure that area is completely clean of any debris then good your make and model to find the window cowl drain locations

It's usually in your cowl, if you look very closely you can find it, or you can go to your dealership and ask for the service manager, they are usually pretty good at pointing you in the right direction. I had my mechanic clean this out for me and he said it seemed like that would be the problem because of how dirty it was. I was having the same problem my driver side back seat floor would get wet when it rains and it helped for a little it seemed like but checked the other day and it’s soaking wet again only behind the driver seat on the ground. If this helps any I believe the leak is coming from the left side of the column in the middle that is on the floor under the middle seat whenever I dry it up it always seems like there’s unlimited water there. It’s where the flat floor meets the curve. I’m totally stumped on what this could be. Any ideas what this could be?

Not knowing how old your car is or if there is possibly a seam of some sort that may be leaking in from underneath the car, I would take it to another mechanic to put it on a hoist to see if there is an issue underneath the car. @@amjathkhan2004 It ended up being the weatherstripping it solved the problem instantly. I believe it was mainly my trunk and back door seal that was causing it but my mechanic recommended getting all new weatherstripping on the car since it was old and worn. I hope this helps you! I would suggest getting a detail once you solve the problem. I got one and the deep cleaning helped clean the floor drastically and made it look and smell brand new.

One more quick question... I just looked all the way thru your uploads, up to last yr, and then it's cars listed, and I didn't see one... Do you happen to have a video on how to dry the interior floors after a leak is found/fixed? Lol, if not, is it something you would be uploading, say... In the next day or so..?! Haha! Watch the video again, it's the drain tube underneath your windshield wipers in the cowl as shown in the video. If it's in your moonroof look for the drain tube in the channel that goes around your moonroof. Hope this helps, thanks for watching. Have a great day. mad Mike

that drain you are talking about on your blower motor is your A/C condensation drain the drain for this video will be somewhere in the cowl of the vehicle and that the tough part finding it my friend

My Toyota Echo is literally flooding when it rains, even if the car doesn't move! We've had two bad storms, and that's when I noticed it. The back seat passenger floor was probably half filled, and the front was getting soaked, and even a little on front drivers side! I'm so freaking frustrated at this point... I called my mechanic, but he said he thought it's prob the back window leaking... But I don't think it's that... The back shelf part, between the seat and window, is bone dry, as are seats. There is a chunk missing in the seal on the door... But maybe this is the issue? I don't even know what to do at this point. I don't even know how to get the water out, besides soaking it w towels, washing drying towels and repeat... I only have so many towels I can junk, lol! I don't have a wet/dry Vac, and the car wash Vac says to only use on dry surface. It's going to be getting warm out, & then mold and smell will be issue if I can't get it done. My father is an autobody person, but has been up to his eye balls in redoing his parents house, as they have passed, & let a big mortgage, & the not being remodeled since like the 50s. He's going to try and look at it this weekend, so I'll tell him about this, & hopefully, it's in the same spot on my car. Anyway, just venting, lol, and over tired. I had a friend of a friend whose also autobody people, take a quick look at my car, and although he couldn't take it today, as they are appointment only & busy, he did take the time to come out, take a quick look at where the water is collecting & the seals, and he said the same exact thing as u did in this video! He said he's even seen cars FULL of dirt & debris all the way up the wheel well compartment area (if that's what it's called, bc he just pointed it out to me) behind the front tire. So, he said to take it all out, and check really good! Thanks again for this upload and for responding! I wasn't sure if it'd apply to my car too, and now I know, it does! I would think it would go to the front floor boards.I had a 96 Pontiac Grand AM that would be wet on the driver's side never did find out why.That car ended up being a money pit.

it does go to the front and back if the car is sitting flat. we parked on a slight angle to see if it would go to the back and SHAZAMMM!

best to find the drain tube and you may have to stop by a dealer to have them tell you where it is so you can then repair it my friend

you most likely have a A/C tube cracked and leaking or plugged you may need to have a pro look at it
