Omg I learned this stitch pattern like 5 years ago when I was studying abroad in Iceland but I only knew the icelandic name for it and I couldn’t find it anywhere cause I lost my lil book with everything in it!! I feel blessed on this day!!

I had a scarf once that used this pattern. It was made with chunky yarn, so I was able to figure it out by looking closely at it. For years I couldn't figure out what the stitch was called! For me, it's easiest just to think of it as a staggered 3x1 rib. Once you get a little bit worked up, it's easy to see where the knit stitch columns are so that you can line them up with the middle of every "K3". It's such a beautiful, easy, squishy stitch!

I really like this! It's such a pretty pattern! It looks so much more complicated than it actually is! Thank you for the tutorial! I appreciate your thorough explanation and demonstration!

Thank you so much for this pattern. I wanted something that I didn't have to concentrate so much on but also have the TV in the background. (You know women are multitaskers!!!)

I love this stitch, and this tutorial is really helpful. My brain, though... I keep forgetting which row is which, and mess up the order 😅 Sooo... it's a bit wonky 😆 omg

Is this stitch also called rice stitch?
@zarahana37762 жыл бұрын
Wait I have a question. So we start with k3 and p1 for row 1 and k1 p1 k1 for the first 3 and then continue with K2 p1 k1 for row 2 right? So you said on the third row we just repeat row 1 but on row 4 do we repeat row 1 or row 2???

This algebra whatever just confuses the whole pattern and makes it hard to follow.

I'm sorry but I'm so confused but knitting by the right side and wrong side 😭
@judewalsh64894 жыл бұрын
The right side starts with Row 1 with this pattern so the wrong side will be Row 2 and all the even numbers. It helps to put a stitch marker on the right side so you know where you are. Hope this helps.
