Agree. BJP was able to pull off Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and to some limit Rajasthan all because of their groundwork. Listen to Yashwant Deshmukh how BJP was able to win MP with big numbers all because BJP's Cadre was able to pull out its voters from the homes to booths. The reason is there was not much emergency atrocities on common man and opposition leaders in south india unlike in north india.The anti govt leaders like jaya prakash narayan (bihar) raj narain UP who wanted to throw out indira gandhi due to which she imposed emergency.

@@user-ok6cz6km9f South people vote as per new innovative welfare schemes started by various regional parties in south as the guest Shruti said, these welfare schemes are later copied by the national parties in the center, voting is not done as per religion or caste as there is no feudalism which was abolished and equal distribution of land wealth created long back. Majority 85% of south Indians are Hindus but they never voted for BJP till now.
