Your greenhouse is darling! I hope to one day have a real greenhouse! As for now, I have a $10 plastic one w a flimsy zipper.

Slug defence: I grow everything in containers. I place my most tender plants on a cheap folding chair or stool. I put each leg of the chair in a takeaway container filled with salt-water. No slugs or snails can make their way up to the plants.

I do the same thing almost, with my staging. I place the bottom of the legs in a small yoghurt pot and them place that in a tray of salty water so the metal legs of the staging don't get damaged. I grow my small crops in washing up bowls with drainage holes drilled out. Happy gardening 🙂

Definitely try a beer trap in the greenhouse while you’re mending the holes! I maybe wouldn’t try it outside where the ducks could get because not sure how they would be if they drank beer 😂 but it works very well!

I use beer traps for slugs. It's not perfect but it works pretty well. Only downside is how bad they smell when you forget about them🤢😅

Could you put a salt boundary around a grow bag for carrot defense? I use grow bags for my carrots and succession them
