So, Going There I Was Expecting The Theater To Be Somewhat Full Of Other Halloween Fans… Now, There Were Actually Some Halloween Heads (Like Myself).. My Theater Doesn’t Have Assigned Seat/You Can’t Reserve a Certain Seat, You Purchase The Ticket And Go Pick a Seat. Now.. I Sit Down And I’m Waiting For The Film To Begin, Then Comes In An Entire Group Of Women That Sat Next To Me. Now The Problem Was, They Were Talking About Not Having Seen The First One (Halloween 2018).. And Rambling On About Hating Horror Movies, And Kept Calling Michael Myers, Jason. I Was Frustrated But Didn’t Say Anything. Now, That Was Happening Before The Film Went On.. (A lot Of People Got There 30 Minutes Early, Me Being One Of Those People) So, When The Film Started They Shut Themselves Up.. Well After Michael’s First Kill, Which Was Kind-Of a Jump-scare, They Started Chatting Like They Were The Only Group In The Entire Movie Theater… They Kept Turning Their Phones On, Squealing Like They Were Children. Every time Michael Would Appear They Would Freak The F*ck Out… I Mean, I’m Definitely Going To See Halloween Ends (Next Year), But I Really Hope These People Won’t Be There, Or At-Least Will Have Some Respect For Other Fans…

I had this issue too when Infinity War came out, right behind me and my best friend was this group of four or five guys and this couple. Directly behind me the whole movie this one dipstick decided to talk about how Jaws is trash and how fake it looks and "I knew that shark wasn't real" nothing to do with the movie and the whole time he's giggling about it. I didn't need to say anything because routinely his friends would whisper to him "Dude shut the fuck up we're trying to watch the movie nobody cares!" But he'd keep going until everyone told him to shut up then he was just grumbling for the last ten minutes about how he knows movies better and infinity war was garbage like jaws because it's for a simple audience. That was just ONE of the problems. The other was the couple on my left side, the ENTIRE MOVIE the guys girlfriend was whining and complaining about how she didn't know what was going on and who anyone was and her boyfriend goes "Did you watch any of the films I recommended for you to watch? You had a solid few months" and she goes "Oh I don't need those I don't really care about this it's stupid and childish. I won't waste my time." Dude was silent for a minute and then goes "Then why did you come with me? All you're doing is complaining you don't know anything and yet you did not watch any films to help you understand." All she said was "I had nothing else to do but I think this movie is shit anyway, just for babies who cares?" Talking as smug as possible. So on one side we had a self proclaimed "Movie expert" and on the other a really smug, nasty and bafflingly dumb girlfriend who I guess wanted to ruin her boyfriends night. For the opening night showing, I barely retained any of the film I had to go back the next night so I wouldn't be bothered by an awful ignorant audience. It took EVERYTHING I had to not turn around multiple times and tell both to shut the hell up. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

I don't know if I'm just lucky but I've gone to the theater hundreds of times and only had 3 bad experiences? I usually go on Tuesdays though but even on opening weekends I haven't had that bad of a time

I never watch horror movies at movie theatres. Did it once and the audience ruined it for me. They were laughing at every kill and jump scare... also a group of girls were screaming on purpose, they thought that was funny... so never again..

The Grudge was a movie that I couldn't get into because the audience we saw it with was so fucking awful that it soured me on the film itself. So I'm more than understanding if horror movies want to do VOD releases, because those audiences can be their own brand of awful.

I had the problem with Insidious 2, I went on a Friday night and the audience was annoying as hell with their talking & laughing. I went a couple of days later after work and it was dead so it was more enjoyable that time

Yesterday night when me and my mom and dad were sitting to watch the film we saw behind us there was a 4 year old kid and a couple of teenagers in the back of us and at the end when we got up we saw them leaving and I'm like wow how the heck did they get in theaters to watch this?

When I saw Halloween 2018. The crowd was full of loud kids and grown adults. Halloween Kills? Barely a difference.

I went to a theater like that , thank god for the Alamo Draft house that kicks out people for being noisy.

The experience is not worth the price of admission, because of poor audience behaviour. I agree, until they enforce a quality viewing experience for everyone then they deserve to get taken to the cleaners by streaming services.

Movie theaters should ban kids under 6 to movies especially horror movies if the parents can't get a sitter it wasn't meant for them to go that day. Even a kids movie because kids under 7 will not sit still.

Halloween Kills is hands down a horrible movie, but it is hysterical. I laughed my ass off all the way through it. I've been fan horror since saw original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre at a drive In when I was five. The Halloween franchise went off the rails decades ago and now we just have this level of crap to look forward to.

Omg, right fucking next to me just people laughing their ass off at each others stupid jokes, my first 18 rated movie experience in a movie theatre (although I'm 17), and being a big halloween fan I had to listen to these fucking doughnuts while Im just trynna experience the film, 😂 rant over, I enjoyed the film anyway, not as good as 2018 but I think it had great fan service through the references, and it felt natural rather than just trying to fill uncreative gaps, can't waits for ends, so stoked!

I haven’t been to a movie since Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker Xmas day 2019. If I’m going back to the theaters it might be for James Bond not Michael Myers. Don’t get me wrong I would see a Michael Myers movie in a theater, but if it’s been nearly two years it has to be a higher caliber.
