That was a good analogy on batman. I liked that scene on spiderman home coming when he said "I'm nothing without the suit!" and iron man told him "If you're nothing without the suit maybe you don't need it!" a lot of people are nothing without their spider suit, money, education, social media likes etc

Thanks Uncle Rom. I have never called it a mask but I have observed this for decades with men and women. Integrity and character is important. I have looked past a many of good looking men with nice bodies and "stuff" because they were lacking in certain character traits.

Had this problem with a female I dated for 3 years. I thought she was just an overall nice person. I had a nice job and I was making good money. I was young and I made the mistake of telling her how much I made. Everything was cool until the company I worked for found a slick way to cut everyone's pay. We were living together and I let her know that we would have to cut back on some our expenses. About a month later is when the mask came off. This bitch faked her whole personality for 3 years, cut off her family and friends and all of a sudden I was looking at a complete stranger. She had found another job with decent pay and jumped ship. It took every ounce of mental strength I had to refrain from stomping the shit out of her.

Easy way to get past someone mask? Throw them off their comfort zone. When someone is out of there safety net you will truly see what they are. People can maintain a mask as long as they are comfortable. Once they lose that comfort you can see what they are.

Eventually that mask will get hot is there free a plus if a woman don't feel you got it and she leave for somebody else but year later or so months down the line you become successful she would definitely feel like a fool cuz she couldn't be patient with you

truth. you are right seeing past the mask is an invaluable social skill to have if one wants to save them-self lot of disappointment as unaware people walk in with expectations based on the mask only to get shocked by whats behind the mask but it has to be learnt and developed as we are living in a brand driven world hence the cumbersome amount of adverts...looking straight to character that's my biggest take away. as a young man this is gold thank you for the insight and the shout out

Another prime example of the mask can be a passport/citizenship. Those who come from immigrant families know what I'm talking about. Especially, those from African families. When you go visit relatives in your family's homeland you can get treated a little different. Not necessarily by your direct family members, but most likely by distant relatives. Family is still important as they were raised in the traditional culture. So, it's important for folks to protect their visiting relatives as having family members abroad is viewed as sign of prestige. Since they know the type of games people will run and nobody wants their family's good name associated with the wrong things and whatnot. Case and point, their neighbors and other families in the neighborhood will eventually notice you. They'll be like, "That's so-and-so's grandchild from the States." "So, you're so-and-so's cousin from the Belgium." "Aren't you what's-their-name's niece/nephew from Australia?" Showing that they will view you based on the status of your citizenship. Because they're associating the place you're from with a better life. Regardless of what your family's situation is like there. All they see is the mask of your citizenship. So, women or their families through these women will try to use you as a way out.

You know Rom l gotta say out of the all the people who l watch you gotta be the one l respect the most. A good trait you have is even at 12k sub and this video currently having 121 comments you always reply to everyone. Even if its simply thank you some yt don't reply to anything and have way less than half and that alone alot bout ur character. Finally if you ever stop commenting to everyone l wouldn't blame you because you on the rise and there will be too many to reply to lol. Respect

I've never really had an issue with seeing passed people masks, and I figured that everybody was like me and just chose to look over things (foolishly) that were clearly in front of them. Truth is if you want to unmask someone it's not you who will unmask them first but the people they've dealt with longer and have dropped their "mask" for because of the comfort of having them. I can tell a lot about how a woman is going to treat me by how she treats the "other men" in her life specifically the men she doesn't want anymore A.K.A. men she doesn't have to wear the mask for anymore. How she "frames" her experiences with men, her "role" in the family, her role with her friends. If you got a woman who was spoiled by other men, spoiled by her family, and friends she's going to expect to be giving things. Her mask may say don't help me, I'm not a beggar, but it's not hard to deduce that her nature is to be spoiled but she KNOWS for some reason she can't give off the vibe of spoil her. Also, I can tell a lot about a person through misunderstandings. If you go from greatest man in the world to a piece shit over a disagreement trust, the ugly is real, and the good is fake. For men worried about a manipulative woman don't tell her what your ideal woman is, be vague, don't say you want a good, bad, etc. because then she'll wear that mask of a good woman, wife, thot, hoe, etc until she captures you. I've disarmed and confused a lot of women who assume I want a good woman by saying I find good women boring, bad women troublesome and they'll be frozen like what should I be and I be like IDK. And lastly, knock them off their emotional center. Few people walking the earth are cool, calm, collected, and sweet all the time. We know this, so if someone is that find a button to push that takes that cool cat, cool chick to the edge of their emotions and watch how their reactions. Few are the same once emotions take over. Long story short there are ways to de-mask people, but you have to want to do it. It can feel manipulative at times for doing it, but I only do it for self-preservation, not selfish gain.

To really know how a person Thinks or Feels about you, get them mad at you. Most times that exposes how they feel about you. People suddenly get Brutally Honest when they're Angry with you. For those who are more clever with theirs, all you have to do is sit back and observe folks like Tupac said. Fake people expose themselves eventually one way or another. The thing with wearing a Mask is one day you'll have to take it off. You may have the World fooled but you and those around you know what it is.

"Good morning Vietnam" (How many people will get that reference?)! My father expressed a similar statement in regards to his engineering certificates. It's about character even though it's obvious society could care less! 12:33, major turnoff! When I had my BMW certain guys would tell females what I was driving. I always shrugged it off. In fact, excluding family, I can count the females I allowed in my car. Also, when you go out in the evenings. The masks sure are out lol. And it's cool because that tells me their scared.

I have a question Unc' Rom. I am a laid back guy and bit of a homebody. Is it possible I can get with a chick who is out going and has a busy social life by being myself or do I have to "mask" and pretend I am a bit like her. It is not for a serious relationship. More like a "Netflicks and Chill" thing.
