So glad I went in 1988 before all the tourist traps. The chapel at the top was simple and the only building at the top. The view was absolutely stunning. We camped there for about a week near the base and spoke with Father Frank From NY or NJ. He was amazing to talk with and the library was breathtaking. I really enjoy the Icons that were there and the stories of Mohamed being raised there as a child. The parchment He later signed with his tiny little hands that made it an offense against Islam to harm or attack the Monastery there. It's really amazing. What was interesting was the during my time in the Sinai with the UN at South Camp I met with archeologists who were researching where the Israelites had crossed the Red Sea, of course that would have placed Mt. of God in Saudi Arabia. I want to tell you of an amazing natural event that happens every morning when the sun comes up. With the sun comings up in the east it would back light the Mountains of Saudi Arabia. These Huge imposing mountains and as the sun continued to rise they would disappear as the sun would pass from behind the mountains into the late morning/early afternoon. While standing there watching that happen from Egypt I would imagine the Hebrews crossing the Red Sea in the morning and the Egyptians watching the mountains disappear trying to follow them. Perhaps, My imagination would let me consider, the Egyptians would be horrified with the mountains disappearing and then see the water crashing in on them. A moment when all hope was lost and the Hebrews would never lose site of the mountains. It all seem to fit and I was humbled by the thought. Going there Helped me grow in my faith in God and Christ as my Savior.

Mt. Sanai is 100% in Saudi Arabia. It is fenced off by the government and “pilgrims” aren’t allowed to climb it. The top is burned black. There are still remnants of the 12 pillars representing the tribes, the cave of Elijah, the split rock, golden calf alter, etc etc. ITS ALL STILL THERE. Most things are in rubble but the golden calf alter and other things are still intact. It’s really incredible. This is just a tourist attraction to throw people off.

@@phillipjacobson4457 clown 🤡 I've been to KSA and visited this mountain in 2009. He is right the mountain is called Jebel Al Lawz, or Mt Musa (Moses) this had been well known for years in arabia. It is now open for the public during certain times of the year as a tourist attraction for evangelicals. It wasn't open when I visited.

Why can't people do proper research? it is nearly beyond doubt. Israelite engravings the spit rock and the spring that sprung forth, and the water erosion from it well documented well studied. I am disappointed with Josh; he has listened to the wrong father .

Actually that could make sense, they would consider Egypt to be where the pharaoh was, not its actual borders. And especially after crossing a sea they'd assume be gone, even if they were technically in modern day egypts political borders. Retards.

St Catherine's monastery is still inside Egypt which the Bible mentions in Exodus 20:2 that they was brought out of the land of Egypt, so St Catherine's monastery is wrong and does not have a single piece of evidence of it being the site for Mount Sinai Exodus 20:2 "2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage." Unfortunately this is not the real Mt. Sinai it is in Saudi Arabia on the other side of the Red Sea, the top of the Mountain is still black, the alter of the Golden Calf is still there and the rock that Moses struck with evidence of water erosion, look it up Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia and tell me it is not real.

many others have all but confirmed this and it had a fence encircling it and is guarded by patrols, God's truth is out there for those that will seek it. The same is true for Sodom and Gomorrah Josephus wrote about thier location and can still be seen today with 98%pure sulphur as proof of brimstone 60%is the best we find in nature, And there is a documentary by some academic who is sure it's at the bottom of the dead sea. Which was there at the time of Sodom and Gomorrah, Im sure they are part of confusion Babylon.

That’s not Mount Sinai and the burning bush is in Midian not on the Sinai peninsula. Jabal Al Lawz in modern day Saudi Arabia (Anciant Midian) is Mount Sinai. St.Catherine’s is an abomination and should denounce their claims. Spreading lies for hundreds of years.

I hope they digitize that library. It would be a travesty if political turmoil, or ISIS ransacked that part of the Sinai, and we lost all that history.

No that’s a lie spread by Tischendorf to make his fake Codex Sinaiticus sound authentic. The monks themselves repudiated this story and said it never happened. The real author of the Codex Siniaticus came forward and was corroborated by contemporary scholars who saw him write it at the time.

My wife was filling a petrol lighter on her lap, and being a bit clumsy she spilled some on her lap. When she tried to light it a spark ignited the spilled petrol. She ripped her skirt off but unfortunately, the petrol had set fire to her pubic hair. THAT WAS THE ONLY TIME I SAW A BURNING BUSH.😆🤣😉

There are many places everywhere in the Holy Land around Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc., where people consider "the real place" where God did this thing, or another thing. But the IMPORTANT thing is that these places remain HOLY, and continue to be preserved. That's why people go there on pilgramages. That's why archeologists do what they do. I'm grateful that Mr. Gates would study this. (And take us, his viewers, with him, of course.)

@@JT_O4 it's not. The real mountain in in Saudi Arabia, it's called Jebel Al Lawz or Mt Musa. This other fake location is not the real deal. Search it yourself.

The burning bush is in the monastery. It’s said to never die, though bushes of the same name die every winter in the area.

Moses could not read the tablets, he forgot what type of stone was used for bread? One tablet was for allowing bread to rise. The other one was for flatbread and one was for cooking. He used the wrong one and came out with two you're telling the tourist version.

I have also climbed the same mountain At midnight, was really a Blessed experience 🙏, But later discovered that the REAL MOUNT SINAI IS IN SAUDI ARABIA, GOT TO CROSS THE RED SEA. AND No one is allowed to climb up .. As the Saudi government has fenced it of AND that mountain is BLACK...
