A - that wasn't even Jane and Finch. He was about 5 km south of it. B - Jane and Wilson which is the area he is in, has a sizable lower income population and it can get sketchy in areas. But no where near as notorious as Jane and Finch.

What American tourists come into downtown Toronto from the north?
@HeadlessChickenTO

Toronto is know for it's traffic. Let me correct you; Toronto is known for its construction, that causes its infamous traffic. We are constantly building, ripping up roads, re-zoning and re-designsting areas, add in road closers for summer street festival, marathons, etc, and it can get pretty nuts. I use to work downtown and my early morning drive in would take me 25mins. But the rush time home was easily 45mins.

Next time take the Gardner express all the way in. Got the lake on one side skyline on the other, way better view!

6:15 - you are not at Jane & Finch. That area is much farther north of where you are. But why would you choose to start in the Jane Street area at all?

I have watched every single minute of your Canada videos I am glued to the screen watching this all. Just like you said it's like looking at the future. These videos are more fascinating than any movie could be. I have to go see Canada myself one day. These videos are very educational.

Why did you get off the 401 in one of the worst areas of the city? You should have gone down to the Gardiner Expressway. The view of the skyline driving in is amazing. Or if you did want to come from the north, Avenue Road is a much nicer drive.

I love your Toronto comments while driving. I know everywhere you were driving around. Btw, in Toronto, the worse area is middle-class in the States. FYI, no detached home in Toronto is valued at under a Million.

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS There's a pretty big housing crisis in Canada, particularly the major cities of Toronto and Vancouver where it's insanely expensive, the rest of Canada for the most part is afforable still.

2 things. That's not traffic. 3/4 of your vid would have been the first 3 min of your post. You certainly started at the bottom. Toronto is so much better than Jane and Finch.

You can't really equate Canadian neighbourhoods with American ones; especially "the projects" -- while there is sort of this concept here to create affordable places to live for lower income people, it's not like in America at all (I've seen those).
@KardiFan2000
@KardiFan2000 5 ай бұрын
Next time you're in Toronto and looking for somewhere that resembles "the hood" physically, I would check out Weston Rd (south of St. Phillips Rd)... it's a mostly low-income area with several boarded up buildings and old homes. Culture-wise, you should check out the strip of Eglinton Ave between Keele St and Allen Rd (also known as Little Jamaica).

Jane and Finch isn’t known as a great area. Historically high crime rates. As with anywhere always more good people than bad. Easy on the Timmies (Tim Hortons) bashing! Thems fightin words! Lol

Your GPS will automatically switch to kilometers when you enter Canada, but you can manually adjust it back to miles. Same with weather apps. I switched all mine to fahrenheit.

@@ahmedzakikhan7639 yeah specifically talking about the urban areas, suburbs are a different thing altogether. You need to walk the streets in the areas downtown to get a feel for the city. Hard to do from a car seat.

You chose the wrong route into the city. The spectacular skyline on the lake is to the south. Should have taken the 427 south then east on the QEW which becomes the Gardiner Expressway as you approach the downtown.

If there’s a crossing guard at a major intersection, there is at least one public school between kindergarten - grade 8. High schoolers are on their own, unless it’d nearby to a school with younger grades.

If anyone is watching this video & driving out of the airport in Toronto do not take this route, lol. Just take the highway to the QEW & along the Gardiner into the downtown. Much cooler view entering the city. When in the city visit the neighbourhoods like Leslieville, Cabbagetown, Kensington, Annex, Roncesvalles exc. This route is driving alomg the awful 401 & then by Jane & Finch, Steeles, Lawrence, Weston....some very bland, suburban, car dependent routes. Avoid this route, lol.
