I really appreciate your commitment to not ripping out plaster at every opportunity like most content creators. My house is lath and plaster and I occasionally have to make fixes and you're one of the only channels that doesn't advocate for just slapping on some drywall and calling it a day. I'd much rather buy a bag of durabond to replace missing plaster by patching in the holes than have to deal with putting up and taping a bunch of drywall. I had to repair some water damaged plaster in my skylight well this weekend and I just loosened the bad stuff and patched it up with a few rounds of hot mud. It was ready for paint by the evening. Your water troweling video saved the day again

The color on the walls looks similar to the color I picked for our kitchen that was recently painted. Benjamin Moore - Sugar Cookie. It looks as good as I hoped it would. The ugly house kitchen's biggest downfall was that the refrigerator was way too big for a kitchen that small.

I've always loved your videos.but this is the first I didn't. Those beautiful counters as going to be a big problem because people would use them as cutting boards. That would very quickly look really bad due to the orientation of the boards. Just my opinion. Love your work and your videos. Just wanted to express my opinion. Keep up the wonderful work. Love your channel/ site. Thank you.
@seejanedrill8 ай бұрын
I appreciate your honesty. I will say this in response to your concerns. The work station sink should remedy using the coutertop as a cutting board. Also, wood can always be sanded and refinished. And last, I tried to stay true to the style of the home and wooden countertops were common in mid century modern homes.
