Mine had terrible definition. After a couple years it stopped all together. So I can't recommend it to anyone. Sorry I'm not the kind of person that writes reviews on everything I buy. But this video popped up on my for me in KZbin. So i hope this helps you make a decision. Mine could have just been a lemon I don't know because I didn't have another to compare it to. But in the videos I've seen mine wasn't nowhere as good as those.

Hi, would it be possible to see how the thermal camera performs during real-world night-time outdoor recording with eg a dog running about in long grass or snow? I’m thinking of getting a thermal camera, either to plug in to a phone or built into the phone itself, so that I can keep better tabs on my dog on walks in grass and woodland and to see where he is in my yard, and if he’s done the toilet recently. But looking at reviews I can’t determine if it’s worth it. Each product seems to have reviews which range from: ‘you can see animals easily in the dark from about 100 metres away or more’ - which would be great- to: ‘it’s a useless toy and you struggle to see a steaming cup of coffee 3 metres away’. Would it be possible to have some user performed night time footage?

Does it work for finding bad window or door seals? Thinking I could justify the purchase if I can identify area in the house that need fixing to save on gas and electricity. Would you recommend?

Yes. Ive had this and the FLIR ONE. They both work very well for finding heat and cold loss. Of course, they work best when inner and outer temps are farther apart.

My God, would never buy after reading Amazon reviews... just a gadget... and the click is to compare camera to outer temperature, like it needs to do it so often... drains battery quick... I wish people would give HONEST reviews... People vote for a certain party or cheer for a certain team, and are so devoted they go down with the shi...p
