Hi everyone, some of you have noticed that earlier in the video we refer to IgE antibodies as immune cells, and that isn’t correct. Immunoglobulin E is produced by the immune system and attaches to mast cells, but is itself not a cell.

I remember the first one or two times we gave the food to her she did not have a full blown reaction, but her skin around her mouth got very red and irritated. Hopefully she grows out of it. Life with food allergies for a kid is hard. She doesn’t fully understand why she can’t eat what the other kids eat yet ☹️
@NADNIJ4 жыл бұрын
The reason one has allergy is because its an overreacted immune response, when the immune system thinks there's an 'enemy' invasion, these can be anything like pollen, food, weather, dust mites, chemicals etc. There's a kind of immune cell called mast cells, when it responds to an invasion, it releases a chemical called histamine, that causes the blood vessels to dilate so immune cells would easily pass through to attack the enemy. However too much of the allergen can cause the mast cells to produce a lot of histamine beforehand and release them which is the cause of allergy. Immune lymphocytes are relatively large, if it can pass through water and other substances can pass through as well, causing the area to swell, have red rash and itchiness. To relieve this, one can get supplements called quercetin, spirulina and green tea extract(egcg), these can inhibit the release of histamine, turning the response back to normal. Also avoid too much histamine foods or those that triggers the release histamine, food like dairy milk cheese yogurt alcohol fermented foods, chocolate nuts bananas etc. Avoid fungus, mushroom that contains beta glucans that also triggers immune response.

@surfinmuso37 Жыл бұрын
@@jnord397 No you are up the correct tree. It's vaccines. Most vaccines contain food proteins from nuts, eggs, wheat, dairy etc. Injecting food proteins causes immune system to see those proteins as a threat and attacks them. Presto..instant allergy. This has been proved as fact many times.
@languagewithlindsey Жыл бұрын
@jnord397 I believe that vaccines have trace amounts of food particles in them to trigger/contribute to allergies. I think many times what we call an allergie is actually a buildup of things that on a micro scale is needed or at least tolerated in the body but in larger amounts are toxic or deadly . I started having a reaction to eggs and onions after eating egg sandwiches every single day for years , and I became so sensitive that I almost died from not being able to breathe from a very small amount . But I did an elimination diet to figure it out and by not eating that for several years have become much less sensitive ! I think the culprit was a buildup of sulfur . I just wanted to let people know that there sensitivity , maybe reversable , by eliminating the rite foods !

So... eat produce (organic) without washing?
@Nina.In.Narnia2 жыл бұрын
@@HaloHighlightz Not really, but maybe go to a farm with small children. Their immune systems are prepared to new foods. I was raised in the countryside in Eastern Europe. Back in the day children would sometimes go to the garden and just try out things, my favorites were small cucumbers that I would eat directly from the plant ( although my family was not happy because that reduced the crops) or sometimes eat apples fallen from trees. It used to a normal to let a child explore nature as it is. Now I am close to 30 and living in western Europe and it was a culture shock to me to see so many people having food allergies because until then I never knew anyone that had any. But I see more and more young children in my home country having allergies, and it is mostly those living in cities that don't have access to organic crops in personal gardens and for which the only dirt they touch is the sand from the park. So the overall idea is that experiencing nature in it's raw form as a child and trying out all sorts of fruits seems to be key. I mean, better to try peanuts the normal way before they can get into the body in other ways.

I got a shellfish allergy even though my parents grew up by the beach and hunted for fish and clams. I think I got it when one time I went hunting for clams and got a massive rash.🤷♂️

So, should we start feeding babies with every food protein possible so that their immune systems can get use to it? Like a food allergy vaccine?

I’m Allergic to Every Type of Nut, Shellfish, Salmon, Apples, Bananas, Oranges, Carrots, Lettuce, Basically every type of Fruit or Vegetable, Trust me I’ve tried them all in Hope of finding something else to eat....I haven’t. Also Chocolate, Latex, I’m Lactose intolerant , Seeds are a No...like Sunflower seeds, can’t eat wheat either. Also allergic to Alcohol, so that sucks. Can’t have Eggs. If I eat any of the listed above I run the risk of Dying from Asphyxiation. So basically no Plant Matter, period. So I basically live off Meat, Water, Milk and White Bread, White bread and Milk only make me really really sick but doesn’t kill me, and I take a bunch of pills to keep myself from collapsing from Deficiencies in Vitamins and Minerals. I might as well mention my other Medical problems like how I have Asthma, and Klinefelter’s Syndrome so I have to take Testosterone shots every 2 weeks and that I’m Sterile, basically can’t have kids. Not sure if I’m missing anything, oh! Pollen, Dogs, Cats, other Seasonal Allergies, wool and I think that’s it. So now I have to find out who rubbed my body in Everything and then play in the Dirt.

The hygiene hypothesis makes so much sense. Im from India and here the food allergies are soo rare. I don't know any person who has it. But when you watch american media and the internet it seems food allergies are so common in the west. There are always positives and negatives to everything. Modern "too clean" lifestyle might seem aesthetically appealing or whatever but its not healthy for our body, you become too sensitive and fragile then you pass it on to next generation and so on, which is not good. There has to be a balance.

I think exposure therapy might help. They give injections of very small amounts of the allergin, and then work up to large amounts to get your body used to it. I hope you can get over your allergies! I got over all mine through exposure

Danielle Spargo, thank you for the advice. I will try to do so. I don’t really have a severe allergy and didn’t even realise that anything happened. A blood test one day said I was positive to the allergy and I’m sad, so thank you 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🦐💔

Im allergic to prawns too. As part of desensitisation I took antihistamine before going out for dim sum or eat other food contain prawns. My reaction gets lesser now. Just be sure you are not having severe reaction that can kill you.
@BothHands15 жыл бұрын
Bryan Appleseed Yeah, definitely, if you have very severe reactions, desensitization should be done by a doctor with very small controlled doses

I want to know why my body has decided to be allergic to sweat tbh. Like why does the human body just decide to be allergic to something THE BODY NATURALLY MAKES? Like I'm literally not allergic to any food or meds (knock on wood) :V Frustrating lol.
