When you were talking about Tiferet it reminded me of something that Brene Brown said. She researched what makes people exceptionally compassionate and her findings are highly relevant and very interesting. She found that the people who were the most compassionate were loving people who also had very strong boundaries. It seems that without boundaries it becomes difficult to be compassionate because people just take advantage of you.

Hello! Could you explain why strong boundaries are necessary to be highly compassionate?
@justinbirkholz7814

@@zaephyrdelacroix7051 well I think Brene would be the best person to explain that but I believe it is because without boundaries people will take advantage of you and when people are taken advantage of they become jaded and less compassionate.

When I was an atheist, I injured my left knee during a dance performance. It was the spark of my spiritual journey, and I love that it aligns with Hod. I was literally moving into a kneeling position in the choreography. At the time I was very aligned with Netzach and driven by my ego. It was the spark of my spiritual journey because it was the start of seeing how much I identified with the physical world- my literal body as a dancer. I like that the body is a microcosm of the macro. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights. I have learned so much, and it makes me so happy this can be found in my Jewish heritage!

The left and right channels match perfectly with Iain McGilchrist's hemisphere hypothesis. Also, when you described the linear and partial penetration of God into the circle (making it a "broken mandala"), it resonated deeply with me in relation to Jung's realization of the Self after drawing a mandala that was broken as well (in 1917). This content is absolutely brilliant and brings out so many thoughts and ideas, thank you so much! 🙏

I began studying Kabbalah several years ago on my own, and I must admit that this investment has benefitted my relationships greatly. I think I needed a strong conceptual model for how humanity relates to the divine, and this has given me a way to synthesize my analytical mind with the part of me that has a strong affinity for mystical experiences (which include relational experiences). I thoroughly enjoy contemplating the relationships you so eloquently describe. Thank you for your teachings. Blessings 🕊

But are you saved? The foundation of ALL false religions are rooted in kabbalah. It's satanic, to put it simply. Understanding this esoteric knowledge shouldn't be used as a path for life, but as a way to see the world as it stands against God. Knowing this stuff doesn't make one wise, but Antichrist.

Prior to learning about the Kabbalah and the “language of roots and branches” I already had a very strong sense that language and symbols are metaphorical and describe things that are unseen by us. Even sensations can be metaphorical and my sense is that it is all contextual. So the same passage of text may have a different metaphorical meaning depending on the “state” of the reader. I have also found that purposefully trying to deduce meaning yields false information. It feel like when you try and decipher information you are taking Vs when your automatically receiving information. That being said, it also seems that the intention to understand at a deeper level causes more insights to be had. The most funny/frustrating things about this is that it’s impossible to talk about in a coherent way but I really enjoyed how clearly it was laid out in this video. The scary parts are when your reviving a lot of metaphorical information that’s indicates your on a wrong path or in a bad mental space. During these times it’s easy to spiral but conversely the inputs received while in a good space are amazing. Thanks for sharing your lessons!

while listening to your explanation this idea came to my mind (maybe it already exists but I'm not aware of it): sefirot are in a way extended version of the scheme offered by the biblical writer of the first account of the creation from the book of Genesis. The scheme 3+3+1 - two parallel columns which have an ending at the bottom: sabbat. Sabbat, the Bride, is Malkhut, immanence, which we can experience if we take "a rest" (trough meditation) also. First three days would be right column, "masculine", giving, expansive (God creates while separates: 1.dark from light, 2. upper waters from earthly waters,3. earth from sea, and adding grass); last three days would be "feminine" and restrictive (receiving), God decorates the space he/she has just prepared (with 4. sun, moon and stars 5. birds and fishes 6. every living thing that moves upon the Earth, and human: male and female on "His" image (which implies that God is male and female in One)... Keter, the crown, would be first created: Light

Kabbalah can be both enlightening and annoying. It is most often expressed in an overly cerebral way which l find alienating. It has followed me for years even in my dreams. I have taken in thses concepts but know they need to be grounded, made experiencial. That is why l was drawn here, and will continue to wrestle with it. One wag l read made the comment after a round with Kabbalah is "God is completed". By the way my experience of Daat is that it is active in the throat the doorway to time/space. All in all you do a wonderful job of clarifying what is, let's face it, Complicated. Thank you.

Thank you again for your video. Very good explanation of a really complicated and much discussed topic. I think the mystics intended for other mystics on their level to read their work, hence easy to get very lost. On a different note you sort of sum up to me how a I imagined a modern Chasid (I read too many Baal Shem Tov stories and never met a chasid) but you really exclude such enthusiasm for the topic and I can’t stop watching. Great work and thanks you for all this I don’t care about the video quality I was listening to the content.

Thank you and thank you for the kind compliment. It means a lot to me. Thank you. Funnily enough I’m working on a video now on Chasidut/Hasidism, I hope the enthusiasm comes through.

@@SeekersofUnity the enthusiasm always comes through! It makes me want to convert to Judaism and run off and join the Chasidim. On a serious note people like you do wonders for helping to promote understanding of other faiths/ movements within faiths as well great Kabbalah lessons. This video was a particularly excellent one and a gem. You are my favourite Kabbalah with a K teacher online.

Wait, before I lose my train of thought here- I noted that we’re talking about a negative theology when we discuss the great mystics within the Jewish tradition. I’m sure I’ll comment again as this is such a vast subject but thank you for that piece in particular.

Wonderful lecture; gave a new angle for me, especially the bending of space-time with the paper. The connection with Da'at to Keter, reminds me of the rational thinker and the seeker; follower of messages. The rational stays at Da'at whilst the seeker enters Keter, then returns to Da'at to join the thinker once again. Take care, love from Yorkshire.

A great poet once said “the crack, allows the light to come in” I wanna, thank you for all the light you’re letting in! Those boundaries between us are set to separate us - we are all coming from the same source of the living G-D. And it takes brave people like you, to make the crack bigger and allow more light in. Al Salam Alaykom - Shalom aleychem ❤❤❤

So this is the best birds eye view that a dabbler like myself can understand. Kind of reminds me of concepts from other traditions...the middle way of Buddhists, the Chakras of Hinduism..thought they're center and not left or right... I love your passion for bringing understanding to others. Love to see that people of all traditions are tuning in.

Zevi , this is the best talk I have heard on the SEFIROT. Simple , clear, practical and very inspiring. I am a Christian and I have been reading and listening to many teachers on the KABBALAH and the ZOHAR and seeing much that is in common with the teaching of Jesus but your teaching has confirmed this intuition like no other. I thank you so much.

I am from a different (Christian) tradition with some differences: For instance, the coalescence occurred because God realized the place where he existed was slowly being consumed by time, and a system had to be devised to be consumed instead (us). Another, very similar idea, is: realizing a direct emanation failed and blew apart, he intentionally placed breaks in his creation (very important to know what these breaks are and how to use them). The idea of Kether -Mahlut is also very familiar to our system; as is the ideas of scale. However, many many differences. The lovey gushy stuff is somewhat meaningless and the particular petri dish we occupy has about run its' course. Good job, though, I enjoyed your presentation.

Back in the summer of 2020, the weirdest summer ever, I was meditating with regular frequency, and I had my first and thus far only prophetic dream. The scenario I dreamed of took place no more than 6-8 hours after I'd dreamed it. So, my mind was primed for weirdness that summer. Sometime after that first dream, I had a dream where I was walking into Georgetown, the well-to-do neighborhood in northwest Washington, D.C. I realized that there were numerous UFOs flying just above me, and then I realized that there where quite a few coming in from all directions. They then turned onto their sides, facing me, such that their disc-like structure was seen from the "top," making them perfect circles from my vantage point. Each UFO began displaying lasers and intense lights from the obscured bottom of their structure, making a slight silhouette of the UFO itself, and looking quite like the central disc at a Pink Floyd concert, and then the lasers were targeted at other UFOs, and as I witnessed this I realized what was happening and blurted out "it's the Sephirot!" That's the dream. I don't know that I really knew that much about the Sephirot prior to this dream. I mean, I knew it was symbolic of some mystical ideas from Judaism, but that's about it. As I have learned much more about it, it begs me to ask the question "what do UFOs have to do with this?" and the answers I circle around are very rich and intriguing. I really do hope the UFO phenomenon represents the intervention of a different dimension of life into human affairs.
