Hi Zevi I'm listening to your interview on The Jewish Diasporist and just wanted to let you know that some Tibetan Buddhists in fact do take refuge in the guru and have a relationship similar to what Chassids have with their Rebbe. Many of the practices are "secret" though it's easy enough to find information about them these days.

When Zevi described Hasidism/Jewish Mysticism as emphasizing the spirit of the law (the heart) over the letter of the law (the commandments), I immediately thought of Jesus. Indeed, were the Jewish mystics of the 1st millennium inspired by Christianity?

This may feel left field here however I'll take that turn. I haven't been here for awhile so with a burning question on my mind. l thought of looking back here to see what may or may not have happened since I last dropped in. Recently I've become alarmed by the imbalance in presentation of this kind of material, spiritual/psychological on the net. What is overwhelmingly evident is not only the disproportionate male presenters/experts with a disproportionate singular perspective, Masculine. I'm not woke just stunned by the imbalance in the production of such material from a, almost singular male perspective. If you doubt me go and take a look for yourself. And a thought experiment just for a moment think of accessing media where nearly everyone speaking on a subject of interest to you, this one; was a woman. If you're not troubled by that thought, you are in denial. Could You do something about this or at least simply look at it. However it would be very challenging, very.
