Wow. "... got myself a winner" appears to be an understatement. That will be an excellent hunting rifle.

Yes, the only down side (So far) is the 15lb weight of the rifle w/scope combo.

Need a pack mule just to haul that thing around. Sweet shooter but excellent hunting rifle ??
@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho80092 ай бұрын
@@perrydaniels3358 Depends on the style of hunting you do. If hunting from a stand or off of a tripod, then yes it can be a "Hunting rifle" But most of my spot and stalk rifles are 10 plus pounds anyway. When I was younger, rifle weight didn't matter much.

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 she's heavy.. I bought my father one last fall for a birthday/xmas present but due to his cancer treatments he has Arthropathy in his hands.. The rifle was too heavy for him to safely hand it. Called Seekins, told them the issue I'm dealing with to see about doing a consignment before posting to GunBroker. Matty instead bought the rifle back from me for what I paid. 100% full refund. Now I'm about $1000 short of having enough to buy my father the Slam rifle!!

Very impressive rifle! Perfect cartridge for competition and as you said, It just looks cool 😎 I tried out a sig cross that looked similar to this rifle, but did not perform the way your rifle does. When form and function come together it’s a beautiful thing
@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho80092 ай бұрын
The only downside is the rifle/scope combo is 15lbs. So hunting with it will necessitate a shooting support, like a tripod or some kind of rest. Thanks for watching.
@lastminuteman2 ай бұрын
@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 Yeah 15lbs is quite a load to pack up a mountain lol But we appreciate the rifle for what it is, and for me, it would be an excellent bench shooter that wins the blue ribbon at any barbecue 😁

I agre that most close range hunting rifles can do just fine with a 0 MOA rail and just rings tall enough for the bell to not touch the barrel. On my 7 PRC, however, I have a 20 MOA rail. I may only hunt most critters to 300 yards or less but I could also target shoot to 1,000 yards with that rifle and having the clicks available means I can dial to 1k yards with no holdover. My scope uses a zero stop that gives two full rotations. Since I zero at 100 yards, I don't really need down clicks. However, my zero stop is set to -1.25 MOA from zero. I could do that and would only need that. However, objects closer than 100 yards would need up dialing, anyway.
