I'm glad she saw that the siblings have the same goals. Order and Harmony are essentially the same, the only difference being their view on free will. There was no true evil in this story, just a matter of perspective. The turning point for Sunday was when Robin was shot, thats when he fully turned to the Path of Order. He was afraid and just wanted to keep her safe.

It’s the very reason why people develop copes for traumatic situations… Assuming there were right and wrong choices in philosophy is hypocritical, there are perspectives you agree with and disagree with to differing degrees… I am a person that prefers reality, but I think I have enough empathy to realise there are people that don’t but saying he is wrong or insane is hypocrisy since you’re going to the same extremes and plays into Sunday’s philosophy of the people that can abide and live in a world with that status quo are the strong, those that act out of desperation and have to forsake their principles to survive are ridiculed, the prison system reflects this it isn’t a way to reform people it is made to make an example of them… Sunday wishes to push everyone to transcend the physical world into a dream so they don’t have to live like that… a lot of people experiencing this story I have seen just brush Sunday’s philosophy of as wrong, or even the 3 choice scenario are looking for the “right” option because they seek to disprove him rather than find their own right solution… others just say “Sunday is insane” or “he’s just yapping” or “he Is gaslighting” but they don’t have an actual rebuttal that means anything as it is based on an end point they want to prove right about his character because they have predetermined he is the bad guy of the story therefore everything is wrong and bad… nuance is gone

I really love the parallels Order has with both Nihility and Harmony, which makes it seem both right and wrong and the same time. Order and Nihility both demand acceptance of the status quo, that life has no greater purpose than to serve as a cog in reality. All things begin and all things die. But Order is also Harmony. It is the righteous belief that everything has a place in the world, even if it is just a singular note on a music sheet. Sunday’s boss fight as a conductor makes sense as he embodies both these Nihilistic and Harmonic aspects of Order. To remove people’s free will to make their own mistakes, to remove their ability to grow but also keep them happy enough to play their part. Like how a conductor designates who plays at what time, he maintains the harmony by picking and choosing what he wants to come true so that discord does not come to play. To accept Ena’s Sweet Dream means giving up on life and choosing to stagnate in bliss. This runs against the philosophy of Trailblazing and Robin’s idea of Harmony. To always move forward and accept highs and lows of life. Even with the tragedy that happened to Tiernan, Razalina and Mikhail: their lives had meaning. Even after Robin suffered an almost fatal wound, she still chooses to help others. To them, there is meaning in the struggle. Robin is an idol, unlike Sunday, she can choose her own tempo, her own life choices and can bring out the best of them even in her darkest hours. And the Astral Express is the embodiment of moving forward, and that even if there’s tragedy: there is meaning in the journey made by the previous Trailblazers. With the MC summoning the Astral Express and walking the path of Harmony, they directly confront Ena’s Dream of Stagnation with progress, growth and acceptance. There are a lot of jokes to at Penacony is peak but god DAMN. It really is!

4:21:10 Sunday's plan seems like a tempting choice for an individual until you realise humanity as a whole is left to atrophy and waste away while everybody enjoys their fake, individually curated dream. In the real world, there will be no more progress, no more inventions, and humanity's future is basically gone. We know how horrible humanity can get, therefore we should actively try & make the world better despite the difficulty (Robin's view), not retreat into escapism (Sunday's view). That's my personal opinion on why Sunday's plan is doomed to fail, as humanity fights on.

Sunday is such a sad character. Very noble intentions, and willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good (whatever it is in his mind). However his personality made him an easy target for manipulation, and he’s been so manipulated since childhood by the dreammaster that he fully embraces the idea of putting everyone in order’s control.

It really feels like the Penacony patches keep getting better each time. I really loved 2.0 for the amazing worldbuilding of establishing the Planet of Festivities (and most of our players), our fun date (sorry sorry, NOT a date) with Firefly that also doubled as naturalistic exposition, the silliness with Sampo and then the horror movie ending but then we got hit with the absolute ton of bricks that was Aventurine's story in 2.1 and now this incredible story in 2.2. Watching your playthrough on Twitch was so much fun because your immense downbadness for Sunday added so much to what is already an instant classic villain on the page. Seeing someone getting pulled into the cult in real time was great. I also cannot say enough about how brilliant the fakout ending was, because it wasn't just a twist for the sake of having a twist, it was Shaoji and co letting us see the sweet dream paradise. Because it's easy to just write that "Sunday was wrong because we have said he's wrong." Lots of lesser stories do that. But instead we got to live in that sweet dream for a little while so we could realize for ourselves how empty it would have felt if that was the real ending. Sunday's points were all earnestly made from a place of wanting the best for us in his very paternalistic way, but he never was able to understand that if every day is Sunday, then no day is Sunday. Without sadness, we can't know what happiness is. Without struggle, we can't know what overcoming feels like. Sunday's sweet dream does eliminate the downs of life, but it would also inevitably eliminate the ups. Life would just eventually become a flatline of numbness.

Firefly refers to it as such in dialogue (check the first VoD, when Molly asks Firefly what Sam is after meeting with Welt) so unless the translation is wrong, and I don't think it would be in this case, that is the official meaning behind Sam's name. As for the latter, that was an acronym thought up by the community, I believe. It fit with the purpose so I guess it caught on.

Despite the implications, I don't think Gallagher is dead. Well, "Gallagher" is dead, but that was just a persona (as he himself put it, a "fictional character") created by the nameless History Fictionologist whose mission on Penacony is now concluded. Whoever he really is, I think he's simply moved onward to his next mission and that we'll meet him again in the future, only he'll have a new name and face.

I think Gallagher was a sort of echo he himself made to exist as a guide for the watchmaker's legacy. Misha's memories show him interacting with Gallagher when both were still alive, implying they did exist togther at one point. As far as I know quite a lot of time passed between the watchmakers death and the story. I think what Gallagher did to continue his promise to Misha and Penacony was to use his enigmata to craft a fictional version of himself to outlive his mortal body. Given what he told us in the story, his use of the enigmata will dissapate and thats why its treated as his death.

The way she overcomes this final battle with the Chorus with a team of not-so-top characters sold by the game, only improves the atmosphere of the whole gorgeous story, especially after the name Mei is confirmed, indicating a direct connection to the same character from Honkai 3, and the way she literally points to the door behind the darkness. The paths before our eyes, the funnels that are sucked in by souls oppressed by their experiences and unfinished business, and she breaks the window for the main character back into life with her own hands, all this is simply wonderful and indescribable in sensations. I just figured it out for good. Elio isn’t saying Firefly is going to actually die. Just that she’s going to EXPERIENCE 3 deaths. And those will be “within the land of dreams.” Meaning in reality she’s gonna be fine. Just her consciousness has to experience 3 deaths inside the dream.” The first was doemancy stabbing her (not a real death.) the second was whatever she did here where she leaves the dream and wakes up Acheron and Black Swan from Ena’s false dream of Order. And the third death will be in 2.3. I don’t think Sparkle’s bombs will even be the cause of it. I just think she has to die a third time within the dream to wake up in actual reality again. And we know 2.3 takes place inside the dream bc the radiant feldspar is inside the dream. We can tell from all the dream bubbles everywhere. Bc she has no dream pool, “death” in the dream is the only way for her to wake up. She’s gonna experience what Aventurine experienced in order to leave the dream. Eg: walking into the black hole. Hoyo really had me with that one ngl. But realistically Elio wouldn’t just sacrifice one of the stellaron hunters for essentially nothing. He wouldn’t let arguably his most efficient combat asset die in Penacony, which is insignificant in the overall plot of defeating Nanook.

They are different raiden meis. Hi3rd's mei is simply Raiden Mei, this one is Raiden B. Mei. Its a spiderman thing all over again. A bit wierd tho, since GGZ and HI3rd raiden mei dont have a name distinction. But HSR does. Bronya Zaychik became Bronya Rand. Raiden Mei turns into Raiden B. Mei. Maybe kiana is gonna become Kiana Alaya or sth. On another note, the story this time was amazing. The most emotional ive been in a game since Da Capo/ Graduation trip tbh. Don't doubt in the writing of Shaoji, the writer of the Elysian Realm i guess. Sunday also gives major KeBin vibes.

I am so glad (hehe "so-glad") that Molly was actually interested in Sunday. Most of the reaction to this chapter including even in the chat at the bottom throughout this VOD have been annoyingly negative, as the majority of this community has been for some reason treating Sunday worse than the actually evil antagonists like Phantylia and even Cocolia. Idk just happy to finally see some Sunday appreciation in this sea of hate.

Ykw, I wasn't thinking about this before, but what if he was doing all this stuff just because he was trying to save ppl on Penacony? Think about this. Maybe he's not that strong to mess with the whole Oak clan alone and with the dreammaster, but he was smart enough to make everything that way where the Astral Express could help him to save people. Because if you think about Aventurine, probably nobody knew about his plan(besides IPC. And I'm not even sure if IPC knew about everything). So some people thought Aventurine is a bad guy. But he was just doing his plan. So, what I'm trying to say, you definitely can tell that Sunday cares about Robin a lot, and even dreammaster said smth like "If you wanna sacrifice yourself for her then okay." Maybe Sunday knew that he needs someone's help to stop this endless dream, because he definitely didn't want Robin to suffer in the first place. So, maybe, he thought he can be pretending to be on the dreammaster's side while saving everyone else. Idk, it's just my theory. I just started thinking about everything he said in a different way. Because he was really saying about wishing the ppl only happiness and everything good, so I thought maybe it was his smart plan to find someone who can join him, fight and win the dream. Btw, it's true that Sunday isn't caging Robin, like Molly said. Sunday was like I know she doesn't wanna sing for the Order, so I'll take her place. 100% he wanted only good for his sister.
