There are so many competitive exams such as IAS, IIT JEE, CA etc. While we dont hear any discussions about other exams why in the world politician cry about NEET. JEE and AIEEE aren't necessary to get an engineering degree in our state, they are based on 12th STD marks. But when you make it based on cbse syllabus, govt school students cannot compete without much financial support. (To answer your automatic question at this point - no we don't want CBSE we don't want Hindi shoved upon us). Politicians are not talking about NEET alone out of the blue, it's the common public's concerns that they are using for politics. And we know they can't do anything until BJP is at the union govt. And we also know-accept it or not- Sanatan Dharma is the main reason behind this, and once BJP is removed there can be chances NEET will be removed. It's a complicated social equality, which you probably wouldn't understand at all.
