A sound design series in that style with the hydra would be nice :)

Lovely demo and great ideas! Can’t wait to try them when my Hydrasynth Keys arrive tomorrow.

At first I thought it was Brian Eno talking ! Very similar accents. Great video, thanks

Superb video. Love the delivery and format. You have a great voice for this type of tutorial. Thank you! One thing you could highlight, to solo oscs, is to use SOLO mode. I only found it recently and it's really useful!

Instant thumbs up for “national geographic”-like narration, oscillation journey needs to be continued

Just picked this up the Hydrasynth Keys as my main controller, so I am really going to enjoy your tutorials for this one. It reminds me of my first synth, which I bought new, the Ensoniq ESQ-1 from Bananas at Large when I was a teen. Still have it!

Well done for hanging onto the ESQ! I borrowed one for a while in around 1992 and thought it was excellent. I remember the deep programming scope of it fondly.

Thanks you so much for your very informative and easy to follow tutorial. I learnt a lot about the Hydrasynth and totally enjoy playing and expanding this patch

Great video. What are your delay and reverb settings, they sound fantastic? Im finding it hard to hit a sweet spot with those two effects.

I'm new to hardware synths and I have (probably a dumb) question. On the Hydrasynth - Is there a way to record MIDI info plus audio input into a DAW? Specifically Cubase 10. I have a Steinberg UR22mkII input device. It has 2 stereo inputs, MIDI IN/OUT/THRU in the back. Any help with this would be appreciated!
@cellardoreproductions4 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. That’s what you need to do with all hardware. In your DAW you will need a midi track to record the notes you play, and an audio track to record the sound from the synth.

Thanks for the video! Do you know what the difference is between LFO1 and LFO1+ in the Mod Matrix settings?
@ceetronic3 жыл бұрын
LFO+ is a unipolar LFO. This means it will only oscillate at +1 frequencies. So it will not dip below 0 and will only stay above 0. Ie., from 0 to +5
@jrtayloriv3 жыл бұрын
@@ceetronic Ah, that makes sense! Thanks :)

@@jrtayloriv I wish it made sense to me lol. I don't understand what +1 is:).

This was an excellent video. Great educational content. I'm having trouble getting the LFO controlling the WaveScan index to cycle smoothly through the wave list. The Wavescan index modulation seems to start and hold at initial value and then proceed through the waveform cycle THEN it starts and holds again and repeats the cycle. I believe you mention in the video this is due to something being bipolar. Can you elaborate on this ? Thanks
@BIG_PASTA4 жыл бұрын
If you keep scrolling in the mod matrix past the LFOs you can select "LFO1+" (for example) as a source, which makes the LFO behave unilaterally. So if you set a starting value as say 50, it will only move up in value and back to 50 (instead of above and below 50). It's usually my preferred style of LFO behavior... Hope that helps :)
@ThomasColeFZ4 жыл бұрын
@@BIG_PASTA I finally found the unilateral + designations and got it to work that way. Wasn't aware of setting the values though. I'll have to look into it. Not much info I can find on this. Thank you for your help
