Sam i know you are friends with Paul but i have to say you do a far better job than him when it comes to shooting/editing/ presenting. Road TAX in Austria for am Golf Gti with even 200hp = 1100€ for a car with 300hp = 1800€ only Taxes !!! - a year And here in Austria cars costs 20% more than in Germany where they were built 20% only taxes. For everything you add in equipment u have to pay this 20% ....

Here in Holland, road tax depends on the weight of your car. This car is a featherweight with its 895 kg. But still the road tax for a 4C is more than twice as high here as in the UK. And for diesel powered cars it's even worse, because they are taxed more. I've calculated that a 2013 Golf 2.0 TDI 184 BHP costs 20 pounds a year to tax in the UK. In the Netherlands it costs a whopping 1033 POUNDS (1400 euros)!!! Could we please have your tax system around here??? Really enjoyed your video!!

Sam - Thanks for the detail running cost of your 4C! It's a very nice sport car. I guess it is like any high performance cars, running cost would expected to be higher than a Toyota. ;) like anything else, you get what you paid for. Nevertheless, the clear film cost, it is quite a lot more in UK. (1500 pounds). I've a 2011 GT3RS, had a full body Xpel film wrapped on 98% of the car. It cost me about 5k USD.(Xpel is the self healing film) 5yrs warranty. So, for just the front hood and fenders. It does sounds a bit higher. I had mine done by an individual, not from the Porsche dealership.

Strangely, your car is cheaper to run than my Micra K11 is. A £40 fill up, gets me around 260-280 (300 miles at a push) and that is with standard unleaded... I think mainly it is due to the fact I push it to get the most out of the small engine

Each time I look at the 4C, I think: "Why did they make the wheels SO far in the rear fenders?" It looks close to really bad. Have you ever thought of that or? Not saying spacers is the right choice, but it would look even meaner. But hey, awesome channel mate

Btw, my clear film installer put on a windshield film at no cost. My installer wrap the film around each panel, so can't see the edge of the film. The expel self healing film is a slightly thicker than the normal clear film.

Right now in Poland there are only 2 launch editions. One is currently on sale (White) for 300k ZL (70 thousand euro). I don't think anyone understand how much I wish I had the money to buy it right now.

For distance/length we use miles, yards, feet, inches, and cm/mm for really small lengths. For weight we mainly use KG, but the older people use stone, pounds and ounces.

going to the dealer to ask if your tyrs need to be changed its just stupid. If Alfa wants to check the carbon tub to recover data then they need to do it for free. I know that for now you need to go to the dealer for waranty reasons.. The wind screen liquid position is a designer mistake, and a major one!! the ac smell should been done in warranty free of charge

I agree with everyone saying the 8c would've been a better purchase. Obviously it costs a lot more but the 4c was made for the mass market and will drop in value over time. However experts say the 8c will be worth half a million within 10-20 years. you can only buy used ones now and they cost more than it would've to buy them brand new.

+JUNAID187 I doubt the 'appreciation' would make it a better buying proposition due to the large initial outlay on the car over investing the money sensibly. A 8c is also less useable everyday (especially in London) and probably less fun to drive around tight streets as the 4c is so light and small. Also I imagine many owners of 8c's are scared to put miles on an appreciating car (I know this from experience), they also cost far more to run! and half a million in 10-20 years seems frankly vague and unrealistic - half a million in 10 years compared to 20 is almost double the return.

+JUNAID187 it seems to me that he uses this 4C as his daily. buying an 8C as your daily driver is HORRIFICALLY impractical. it will only be worth that much if you baby the crap out of it, keep it at extremely low mileage, and essentially never take it out of a bubble wrap in a garage. you could really only buy an 8c as an investment if you have the means to A) store it. B) insure it. C) own at least 1 other car to use 99% of the time.

+William Levine the 4c is highly impractical as it is as a daily driver, so I don't think practicality was a concern. There are already 8c's hitting 40-50k miles. I think the only downsides to the 8c would be as a supercar spotter himself he'll be getting spotted by others, since the 8c is an extremely rare care and considered by many as the best looking car of all time. Secondly since it isn't a 1.75 like the Alfa insurance and tax would be a lot higher.

+William Levine My friend owns a 4c anyway and he has to baby the crap out of it. He doesn't even leave it parked outside EVER. If you watch this guys later videos you'll see somebody actually hit into his Alfa and done a runner leaving a massive crack in the fibreglass body. They're so low and wide that large vehicle drivers often don't even see them in blind spots.

I have a MiTo and love it, but its servicing costs are ridiculous. The gear box went after 3 years, and cost approximately 2 grand to replace! Depreciation is also a problem... I love the 4C but have heard that it has some issues when things go wrong. Has anything gone wrong with yours?

+Mike Kleinsteuber Because insurance is a personal thing. Him telling you how much he paid won't be of any use to you because you will have a completely different quote to him. For example, a cheap 1.2L car for a new driver would be around £2k maybe even more, and for someone in their mid-twenties with no claims it will significantly cheaper. So even if the car is completely crap you could still pay a shit tonne on insurance, that's what he's trying to get at. It's 'pretty good' for him and his personal info.
