Episode 46 - 50 Notes: Final Part (Started on EP46) I will repost on EP50 Fun Trivia fact: The Battle of Uhud was Allah SWTs, way of removing the munafiqs that were in the midst of the noble companions. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW using Uhud as the battleground, also meant that the Quraysh would be tired from walking a further distance after reaching Medina. Fun Trivia fact: Even the Quraysh have some honour and that is why they didn’t attack Medina, even though it was easily sackable due to the army being at Uhud. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW knew that Umar RA and Uthman RA would die as martyrs. The Prophet SAW also knew that Aisha RA and Ali RA would have a civil war and also that some Muslims would kill his grandson Hussain RA. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW forbade Muslimah’s from participating in battles and so no Muslimah’s fought in battles during the Seerah. However, there were instances of some Muslimah’s being nurses during. Also the Prophet SAW stated that the jihad of a woman is the Hajj. Fun Trivia fact: Jummah is a separate Salaah to Zuhur according to one view of the Hanbali Madhab. So they pray it before Zuhur. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW stated that Allah SWT despises those who walk with arrogance and pride. Fun Trivia fact: Zubair Ibn Awwam RA was the first cousin of the Prophet SAW through Saffiyah RA who was the aunt of the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: Saffiyah RA and Hamza RA are blood siblings. Fun Trivia fact: Prior to the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet SAW gave his own sword to Abu Dujana RA. Abu Dujana RA used this sword in the battle to kill any Quraysh that he came across. In fact Abu Dujana RA almost killed Hind Bint Utbah during the battle but spared her as he did not want to dishonour the sword of the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: Even though swearing is impermissible in Islam. There are reports of the Sahabah RA using harsh language on the battlefield which shows that in certain times and places, its allowed. Fun Trivia fact: Hamza RA, Ali RA and Abu Dujana RA killed the most Quraysh at Uhud. Fun Trivia fact: No Angels were sent down to help the Muslims during the Battle of Uhud. Fun Trivia fact: Khalid Ibn Waleed RA was the only person to inflict a loss on the Muslims prior to his conversion. Fun Trivia fact: Most of the Seerah books state that Khalid and his entourage went around the mountains of Uhud in order to surprise attack the Muslims. But this does not make sense academically as it would have taken far too long. Fun Trivia fact: Hudhayfah Ibn Al Yaman RA was the secret keeper of the Prophet SAW Trivia fact: The father of Hudhayfah RA was one of those killed by Muslims accidentally during the battle of Uhud. Hudhayfah RA actually witnessed his father be killed during the battle and he forgave the Muslims who did it. The Prophet SAW actually paid Hudhayfah RA the blood money for his father’s death and Hudhayfah RA donated it all to the poor. Fun Trivia fact: Abu Talib and Mut’im Ibn Adi were the most noblest of the Quraysh, in terms of their political behaviour towards the Muslims. Fun Trivia fact: Mut’im Ibn Adi died prior to the Battle of Badr. Fun Trivia fact: The person that Aisha RA was originally engaged to be married to was Jubayr Ibn Mut’im RA. This was later cancelled mutually and Aisha RA was proposed to by the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: The Arabs would tell genealogy by looking at someone’s feet. Fun Trivia fact: Hind mutilating the corpse of Hamza RA was done out of pure revenge for the loss at Badr. Hamza RA was mutilated worse than anyone at Uhud. Fun Trivia fact: Despite the atrocities Hind, Wahshi and Jubayr committed. Allah SWT later guided all of them to Islam and all of their sins were forgiven. Fun Trivia fact: Mutilating dead bodies has been made forbidden in Islam. Fun Trivia fact: One of the other companions to be martyred at Uhud was Hanzala Ibn Abi Amir RA. On the morning of Uhud he was intimate with his wife and didn’t do ghusl. During the Battle of Uhud he was martyred and the Prophet SAW later had a dream of Hanzala RA being washed by Angels. Thus Hanzala RA earned the posthumous title of “Ghaseel Al Mala’ika” which means, the one cleansed by the Angels. Fun Trivia fact: Hanzala RA was married to the daughter of Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul, Jamila RA. Fun Trivia fact: The body of a Shaheed is not to be washed because it is believed that the blood of the Shaheed will be a witness for them on Qiyamah. Fun Trivia fact: The bodies of the Shaheed are not given any Janazah prayer. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW stated that the real strength is in arrows. This is because of how deadly a volley of arrows can be. Fun Trivia fact: Two Angels were protecting the Prophet SAW in the Battle of Uhud according to Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqas RA in Sahih Bukhari. Yet, the Prophet SAW was still injured, which shows that those injuries were Qadar of Allah SWT. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAWs mercy is incredible. Even when he was injured by the Quraysh, his biggest concern was the salvation of Quraysh. Fun Trivia fact: When the Prophet SAW was injured, he stated “How can any nation who attacks their Prophet ever be forgiven?” and Allah SWT later strongly rebuked the Prophet SAW for stating this, in Surah 3 Ayah 124. This clearly shows that Allah SWT has the final say and that mercy or wrath isn’t guaranteed unless he decrees it. Fun Trivia fact: Ubay Ibn Khalaf was the brother of Umayyah Ibn Khalaf and equally as vile as him towards the Muslims. He would insult the Prophet SAW and the Prophet SAW promised him, that he would end his life one day. Fun Trivia fact: Ubay Ibn Khalaf was the only person that the Prophet SAW ever killed with his own hands. Fun Trivia fact: Anyone who the Prophets AS of Allah SWT kill themselves, will suffer an extra punishment because they were killed by the Prophets. Fun Trivia fact: During the Battle of Badr, Abu Ubaidah Ibn Al Jarrah RA killed his own father, who was on the Quraysh’s army and Allah SWT revealed an ayah in the Qur’an about this. Fun Trivia fact: The Sahabah RA who died at Uhud were many to the extent where 3-4 of them would be buried in the same grave. Fun Trivia fact: Those Sahabah RA who knew the most Qur’an were buried first. Fun Trivia fact: Breaking your promises and oaths to people and Allah SWT is never allowed. Even if someone is treacherous to you. Treachery is not allowed in Islam ever, even in times of law. But, deceit is allowed against your enemies. Fun Trivia fact: Only one prisoner of war was caught at Uhud, he was Abu Uzza, and he was executed because he had been caught at Badr and released on the condition that he never would fight against the Muslims again. Fun Trivia fact: The most beloved names to Allah SWT are Abdul Rahman and Abdullah. Fun Trivia fact: Wailing at the deaths of people was made haram after the Battle of Uhud. Fun Trivia fact: Urwah RA is the mahram of Aisha RA and thus most of the hadith she narrated include him in the chains. Fun Trivia fact: Uthman RA was one of those who fled Uhud. (You can use this if not sure about Vanilla Extract) Alcohol free vanilla flavorings tend to be slightly sweet and have a more pleasant flavor straight out of the bottle than pure vanilla extract. They also have significantly less vanilla aroma when compared to pure vanilla extract, and that can have an impact on how much flavor is imparted to your dishes. High quality vanilla flavoring will still be expensive, just as high quality vanilla extract is, because it uses a high concentration of good quality vanilla beans at its base - and it will give you the best results when working with alcohol free vanilla. بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم (إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا). صحيح مسلم: 130/7 ح 6414 عائشه گفت كه رسول خدا صبح هنگام بيرون رفتند و بر روي دوش ايشان عبايي طرح دار از موي سياه بود . پس حسن بن علي آمد پس او را در زير عبا گرفت . پس حسين آمد و او را نيز وارد كرد . پس علي و فاطمه آمد آنها را نيز وارد كرد . سپس فرمود : خداوند مي خواهد از شما اهل بيت پليدي ها را دور كند و شما را پاك نمايد . ودعا رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم الحسن والحسين وعليا وفاطمة فمد عليهم ثوبا فقال اللهم هؤلاء أهل بيتي فأذهب عنهم الرجس وطهرهم تطهيرا سنن النسائي الكبري ج5/ص113 رسول خدا، حسن حسين علي وفاطمه را خواست پس پارچه اي بر روي ايشان كشيد و گفت خداوندا ايشان اهل بيت من هستند پس بدي را از ايشان دور گردان وايشان را پاك نما 3871 حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا أبو أحمد الزبيري حدثنا سفيان عن زبيد عن شهر بن حوشب عن أم سلمة أن النبي صلي الله عليه وسلم جلل علي الحسن والحسين وعلي وفاطمة كساء ثم قال اللهم هؤلاء أهل بيتي وخاصتي أذهب عنهم الرجس وطهرهم تطهيرا فقالت أم سلمة وأنا معهم يا رسول الله قال إنك إلي خير قال هذا حديث حسن وهو أحسن شيء روي في هذا وفي الباب عن عمر بن أبي سلمة وأنس بن مالك وأبي الحمراء ومعقل بن يسار وعائشة سنن الترمذي ج5/ص699 ام سلمه همسر رسول خدا صلي الله عليه وآله وسلم فرمود : رسول خدا بر روي حسن ، حسين ، علي وفاطمه عبايي كشيد .پس فرمود كه حداوندا ايشان اهل بيت من و نزديكان من هستند . از ايشان پليدي را ببر و ايشان را پاك گردان . ام سلمه مي گويد : از رسول خدا پرسيدم كه آيا من همراه ايشان هستم (از اهل بيتم)؟ فرمودند تو بر خوبي هستي (از اهل بيت نيستي اما از نيكاني) . ترمذي گفته است كه اين حديث خوبي است و بهترين روايت در اين زمينه است ... الباني در كتاب خود (صحيح سنن الترمذي، الألباني 3: 306 ح 3205) اين روايت را صحيح دانسته است . همچنين اين روايت را حاكم نيشابوري نقل كرده وگفته است: هذا حديث صحيح علي شرط البخاري ولم يخرجاه. المستدرك: 416/2، 146/3

Generally speaking muslim women did fight and sometimes muhammad would be brave enough to fight alongside of them... Sahih Muslim It has been narrated on the authority of Yazid b. Hurmuz that Najda wrote to Ibn Abbas inquiring of him five things. Ibn Abbas said: If I had not the fear of committing (sin) for concealing the knowledge I would not have written to him. Najda wrote to him saying (after praising the Almighty and invoking blessings on the Prophet): Tell me whether the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) took women to participate with him in jihad; (if he did), whether he allotted them a regular share from the booty; whether he killed the children of (the enemy in the war how long an orphan would be entitled to consideration as such and for whom the Kbums (fifth part of the booty) was booty. Ibn Abbas wrote to him: You have written asking me whether the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) took women with him to participate in jihad. He did take them to the battle and sometimes he fought along with them. They would treat the wounded and were given a reward from the booty, but he did not assign any regular share for them. And the of Allah (may peace be upon him) did not kill the children of the enemy, so thou shouldst not kill the children. Also you have written to me asking me when the orphanhood of an orphan comes to an end. By my life, if a man has become bearded but is still incapable of getting his due from others as well u meeting his obligation towards them, (he is yet an orphan to be treated you such), but when he can look after his interests like grown-up people, he is no longer an orphan. And you have written to me inquiring about Khums as to whom it is meant for. (In this connection) we (the kinsmen of the Messenger of Allah) used to say: It is for us, but those people (i. e. Banu Umayya) have denied it to us. (Book #019, Hadith #4456)
