Here is my summary for this expulsion: Banu Nadeer (4AH)- wealthy tribe who helped Quraysh navigate during Uhud, kaab Ibn ashraf was from this tribe, after Amr Bin Ummayah killed those two people after Bir Mauna from Banu Amir, Muhammad saw paid blood money. Nadeer was ally of Banu Amir and Nadeer was ally of Muslims so they had to pay equal share in bloody money as per treaty (this is case in accidental manslaughter), so Muhammad saw and sahabah went to their fortresses south of Medina to discuss their share of blood money. When Muhammad saw got there the yahood said wait under fortress we will prepare feast for you. They secretly plotted that they will throw a rock above the fortress to below and kill Muhammad saw. Gabriel told Muhammad saw to get up and leave immediately then he left without saying a word and so did sahabah. Muhammad bin Maslamah sent message to Banu Nadeer that you have 10 days to leave or else death. Banu Nadeer agreed to leave but Ibn Sulul couldn’t believe they were leaving since in Jahiliyya he was friends with all tribes. So he wrote to Banu nadeer saying that do not leave and I will fight those who fight against you (the tribe). So they disputed but their chief Huyay bin Akhtab wanted to fight so they agreed to fight and sent messenger to Muhammad saw saying “do whatever you want now (this was a threat”, Muhammad saw made takbir. On same day they got message they went to fortress and took siege. Jews were waiting for Ibn Sulul but he never showed up so the siege that lasted for 7 days no fighting happened. Then Muhammad saw goes to Banu Quraydhah and makes them renew their oaths for the third time and they agree. During siege Muhammad saw burned down the Nadeer’s prided date trees. Nadeer finally surrendered, and Muhammad saw told them just leave, just keep your weapons behind and agriculture. Out of spite the Jews went to their houses and demolished their own houses and fortresses so Muslims wouldn’t benefit from what they left behind (Jewish architecture was better then Arab architecture). Sahabah were shocked when Jews were leaving they tried to take all their possessions including their doors and had old tired camels. Fay was left behind. Surah Hashr was revealed right after this and Ibn Abass wanted to call this Surah Surah Banu Nadeer

Beautiful Dua dear sister! One thing to note however, we should not say both "In sha Allah" and "Ameen" in a Dua, as we need to be firm with it. We literally just say "Oh Allah give me ......" without adding "In sha Allah."

Episode 53 Notes: The Expulsion of Banu Nadir In 4AH, after the Prophet SAW’s companion, Amr RA, killed two Arab tribesmen from the Banu Amir. The Prophet SAW agreed to pay blood money to the Banu Amir since he had given the men protection. To do this, as per Medina’s constitution, the Prophet SAW went around all of Medina, to the Arab and Jewish tribes, in order to have everyone chip in to pay the blood money since it was a large amount. One of the tribes he visited was the Banu Nadir who had previously worked against the Muslims by acting as a guide for Abu Sufyan during the Sariyya of Sawiq. They also are believed to have been the guides, for the Quraysh during the Battle of Uhud and nor did they bother to follow the Treaty of Medina and help the Muslims defend Medina against the Qurayshi invaders. Due to these past tensions the Muslims were apprehensive about asking the Banu Nadir to contribute for blood money. However, the Prophet SAW was determined and with a few Sahabi RA including Abu Bakr RA, he marched to the Banu Nadir’s fortress. The Banu Nadir claimed they were happy that, he had finally come asking them for help and requested that, he wait whilst they discuss what they will do. Thus the Prophet SAW sat outside the fortress with the Sahabah RA. Meanwhile, the Yahud devised a plot to drop a stone from the high walls of the fortress in order to assassinate the Prophet SAW. Before they could enact this plan, Jibreel AS was sent to the Prophet SAW and informed him of this. Thus the Prophet SAW immediately left and returned to Medina. The Prophet SAW then sent Muhammad Ibn Maslamah RA to the Banu Nadir, in order to expose their failed assassination attempt. The Prophet SAW gave the Banu Nadir 10 days to leave Medina and that anyone seen after 10 days will be given the death penalty. Initially the Banu Nadir were going to leave Medina but, Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul found out what had happened and gave them false promises and this convinced their chief Huyayy Ibn Akhtab to stay. Thus Huyayy Ibn Akhtab sent a messenger to tell the Prophet SAW of their decision. The Prophet SAW then immediately mobilised an army of 700 and on the same day arrived at the fortress of the Banu Nadir and begun besieging it. This lasted for almost two weeks. During this time, the Banu Nadir were completely helpless and were stuck in their fortress. This is because Abdullah Ibn Salul was never going to help them and had lied. The Prophet SAW during these two weeks, took the majority of the army away from the fortress and to the Banu Qurayza. This was done to stop the Banu Nadir from getting any help from the Banu Qurayza. During this meeting with the Banu Qurayza, the Prophet SAW asked them to reaffirm their commitments to the treaty of Medina. The Banu Qurayza swore to uphold the treaty and then the Prophet SAW returned to besieging the Banu Nadir. During the siege of the Banu Nadir, the Prophet SAW ordered the orchards of the Banu Nadir be burned down and this is what finally forced them to surrender unconditionally. The Prophet SAW, then forgave them all on the condition that they go into exile and take whatever of their belongings that they could carry. The Prophet SAW then split the spoilers of war amongst the Muslims as per the Qur’an. Fun Trivia fact: Huyayy Ibn Akhtab is the father of Safiyya Bint Huyayy RA, who will later go onto marry the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: Huyayy Ibn Akhtab, knew that the Prophet SAW was the Prophet, that is predicted in their Jewish scriptures. But, he refused to acknowledge the Prophet SAW because he wasn’t from the Yahud. Fun Trivia fact: The Banu Nadir knew that they couldn’t take their houses, so they began taking axes into their homes and smashing them to avoid the Muslims benefiting from them. Fun Trivia fact: The Banu Nadir when they went into exile, took even their house doors with them. Fun Trivia fact: The Banu Nadir took a lot of wealth that they had hidden with them too which amazed the Sahabah RA. Fun Trivia fact: The only condition that the Prophet SAW imposed on the Banu Nadir was their weapons. They were not allowed to take them when they went into exile. Fun Trivia fact: The Expulsion of the Banu Nadir massively benefited the Muslim Medinan economy, since the Muslims obtained and were able to benefit from the agricultural lands of the Banu Nadir. Fun Trivia fact: After being exiled, the chiefs of the Banu Nadir went to Khaybar and the some of them went to Syria. Fun Trivia fact: Alcohol was initially warned against as being more harmful in Surah Al Baqarah. Then later in Surah An Nisa, Allah SWT forbade the Muslims from drinking during the day. Finally, during the Invasion of Banu Nadir, Allah SWT revealed in Surah Al Ma’idah that Alcohol is haram. Fun Trivia fact: Ayah 256 in Surah Baqarah “There is no compulsion in religion”, was revealed against Muslims and in the defence of Jews. This Ayah was revealed to warn the Muslims in Medina, that they cannot force Islam on the children, that they gave away to the Jews. Fun Trivia fact: Hassan RA was born after the Invasion of Banu Nadir in 5AH. Fun Trivia fact: Hussein RA was born 11 months after Hassan RA. Fun Trivia fact: Prophet SAW would change names, that had bad meanings into good meanings. The best example of this was Hassan RA, whose name was initially Harb which means war. Fun Trivia fact: Aqeeqah is sacrificing an animal when a new Muslim child is born. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW gave Azan into Hasan RA’s right ear and the Prophet SAW also gave Aqeeqah for Hassan RA too. Fun Trivia fact: Hassan RA and Hussein RA will be the leaders of the young men of Jannah according to the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT quotes Abdullah Ibn Salul many times in the Qur’an. ========================================================== Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series: Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series. Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it. You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes. One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah. Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

✿ At 1:06:32 --- VERY interesting, very enlightening and important point about Marriage in the way of life of Islam, and how it is different from the Christian notion/way of marriage (MANY Muslims do not know this about their religion!). #Culture #Shariah #NoUnnecessaryFormalitiesOrComplications

The case of `Amr bin Umayyah and what happened with the Banu `Amir in month 2 of year 4 was an example of why you should not assume without knowledge, but still be safe. Collective emergency funds are so much better than gambling on insurance. A marriage is a contract between the spouses verified by the person testifying on behalf of the woman and the witnesses. The Jews largely fail when they treat religion as hereditary in an age where it can be proven that they are usually not enough Semetic to tell the difference.

01:07:00 Who can perform a Nikah: Islam is NOT like Christianity where to make it holy, a priest must sanctify & consecrate the marriage. In Islamic Shariah, marriage is a simple direct valid contract between the wali (of the bride) and the bridegroom (provided of course conditions of (i) approval by the bride, (ii) ijab & qabool, (iii) 2 witnesses & (iv) mahr etc. are met). This Islamic contract does NOT require a third person to sanctify it. The present day common practice of requiring an Imam, Sheikh, Hafiz or Maulana to perform Nikah is essentially because most Muslims (1) don't know the Shariah law of marriage (2) due to the said lack of knowledge they desire to ensure that the Nikah is conducted properly in accordance with Shariah (3) they may want to listen to a nice khutbah for the Nikah.

01:10:15 To be a wali one does NOT have to be a mahram.
@NaeemIbnYusuf
@NaeemIbnYusuf 7 жыл бұрын
May Allah bless you. While your comment is technically true, I feel that it needs further clarification (which Sh Yasir didn't really get into during the lecture). It's true that there are cases where the wali is not a mahram, but in most cases the wali is a mahram. After all, the wali is ordinarily the father. However, if he has passed away or is considered unfit for the role due to Shari' reasons, the role of wali passes to the father's father. If he has passed away or is unfit due to Shari' reason, the role of wali then passes to the brother(s) of the woman, and if she doesn't have any or they are found to be unfit for the role due to Shari' reasons, the role passes to her paternal uncle(s), and so on (all within the paternal line of the family)... It should also be noted that to be a wali, the man must also be a Muslim of sound mind. Furthermore, it should also be pointed out that in the case of a woman not finding anyone to be her wali (like in the case of many revert Muslimas), the role of wali passes to the Ruler/Judge. In some circumstances, like the case of muslims living in lands where muslims are a minority and there is no Islamic ruler/judge, it can pass to others, like the Imam at the local mosque. However, please see the People of Knowledge for finer details and for rulings on specific cases. So yes, the wali isn't always a mahram, but in most cases the wali is. Finally, this was just a very basic summary that should not be relied on solely. The topic is far greater than this post and should be discussed with People of Knowledge, particularly when seeking a ruling for a specific case. Please see the People of Knowledge for further details. PS: I believe Sh. Yasir Qadhi delivered a very basic course on the Fiqh of Marriage many years ago that might still be available online. IT may be beneficial to those wanting a quick overview of this topic

Aoa. Brother I also agree with second opinion, because, first is not possible, Abdullah Ibn ubay's Hypocrisy was revealed after Auhud not Badar. Auhud was specifically for this purpose as Allah mentions to separate munafiqoon from true believers.. And hence, if munafqat, Hypocrise wasn't revealed before Auhud and After Badar-time, then how could he have openly went to Banu Nazir with his clear betrayal to Prophet Muhammad pbuh... And if let's say it did happen just after Badar, then Abdullah Ibn Ubaye going to Banu Nazir so openly as it reveals his hypcrisy, then Allah would have no need to say Auhud clarified who are munafiqoon... So, second opinion seems correct, that the expulsion of Banu Nazir happened after Auhud...
