Allahu Akbar. The seerah is so replete with lessons. I really love the Rosullulah( saw). If i was born and Allah saved me from hypocrisy, cowardice and foolishness, i would really wish i had been a sahabah. That would have given me a more meaningful existence on earth than all the fortune of this world

Alhamdulillah, when im listening to the seerah, I sometimes feel embarassed that I had lived the past 34 years without knowing the seerah in this detail. It really is a fundamental backbone of our religion especially with how the ayahs were revealed etc. l hope all muslims could benefit from it.
Alhamdullillah. Been waiting for this. Thank you Sheikh. May Allah bless you and your family.

Episode 57 - 60 Notes: Part 2 - The Death of Sa’d Ibn Mu’adh RA Sa’d Ibn Mu’adh RA was injured in the arm by an arrow shot by Hibab Ibn Ariqa. Sa’d Ibn Mu’adh RA made a dua after his injury asking Allah SWT to cure him or take his life as a Shaheed with the condition that, he lives long enough to see the fate that will befall the Banu Qurayza. When Sa’d RA was injured, the Sahabah RA built a tent for him to rest in and the Prophet SAW would visit him occasionally. It is not known exactly when Sa’d RA was injured during the battle. Sa’d RA died of this wound after his dua was accepted. Where he lived to sanction the punishment against the Banu Qurayza. - The Tides Change Towards the last few days of the siege, Nuaym Ibn Masud, an elite member of the Ghatafan came to Medina. He met with the Prophet SAW and informed him, he had accepted Islam and now wants to help the Muslims win the battle. But, he requested that, he be allowed to use deception and the Prophet SAW permitted him to do so since war is deception. Nuaym RA before Islam had a good relationship with the tribes of the Ahzab. Thus Nuaym RA visited the Banu Qurayza, the Quraysh, the Ghatafan and fooled them all into mistrusting one another. He did this by asking them all to request, that the other sends hostages, in order to have assurances that, they won’t abandon one another. He also informed the Ahzab that, the Banu Qurayza was having second thoughts and might re-join the Muslims. Each tribe took this bait and thus the Ahzab began disputing with one another on who will trade first. This essentially sowed the seeds of disunity amongst the Ahzab to the extent where Abu Sufyan decided that, the Ahzab will surprise attack the Muslims the next day, in order to avoid a potential surprise attack by the Muslims. However, the next day was Saturday and the Banu Qurayza refused to fight on this day, as it was their Sabbath. The Quraysh did not understand the concept of the Sabbath and thus begun believing the rumours that, the Banu Qurayza will betray them. On Friday night, the there was a strong cold sandstorm wind around Medina and it was the worst it had ever been. This sandstorm was so strong that, it destroyed the tents and camps of the Ahzab. The Prophet SAW then sent Hudhayfah Al Yaman RA to spy on the Quraysh. Hudhayfah Al Yaman RA learned that, the horrible weather conditions, alongside the supposed betrayal by the Banu Qurayza, made Abu Sufyan give up and Quraysh followed him back to Makkah. The tribe of Ghatafan also was forced to flee due to the sandstorm. After the Ahzab had fled, the Prophet SAW stated that, never again will the Quraysh attack the Muslims and that, now the Muslims will be the ones to attack first. The Battle of Khandaq immensely raised the rank of the Prophet SAW and Muslims. It lowered the prestige of the Quraysh and it resulted in a very light casualties on both sides. Fun Trivia fact: The Battle of Khandaq was the first battle that Salman Al Farsi RA fought in. Fun Trivia fact: Prior to the Battle of Khandaq, there was a food shortage already in Medina. Fun Trivia fact: The Sahabah RA did sin and they were forgiven for their sins. Fun Trivia fact: Hassan Ibn Thabit RA was the only man of fighting age that accompanied the women and children to seek sanctuary at the fortress. This was because he was not a fighter. Fun Trivia fact: Hassan Ibn Thabit RA would defend the Prophet SAW against the insulting poetry of the Quraysh. Hassan RA did this because he was a fabulous poet himself. To the extent that even Jibreel AS would whisper encouragement to him. Fun Trivia fact: Hassan Ibn Thabit RA was the only Sahabi RA that we know of who, had a special minbar erected for him, so that he could recite poetry. Fun Trivia fact: The whole purpose of building the trench was to survive the siege, until the help of Allah SWT comes. Fun Trivia fact: It was during the building of the trench that, the Prophet SAW was informed that, he would be given Ash Sham, Faris and Yemen. Fun Trivia fact: The Battle of Khandaq was the first time ever that the Quraysh had an amassed such a huge army. Fun Trivia fact: Abu Sufyan embraced Islam after the conquest of Makkah and the Prophet SAW gifted him with a ridiculous amount of wealth. This made Abu Sufyan see the honesty of the Prophet SAW because it showed that he didn’t care about wealth. Fun Trivia fact: Muawiyah RA was the first king of Islam and the founder of the Umayyad Dynasty. Fun Trivia fact: There were people in Arabia who embraced Islam outwardly and were allowed to exist. CONTINUED ON THE NEXT EPISODE ========================================================== Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series: Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series. Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it. You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes. One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah. Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

I have a question. The sheikh talks about having your faith shaken, thinking "Allah is not going to help us" is a sign of non-perfection. I can see how thinking, "What if Allah can't save us?" is problematic. But what if the thought isn't that Allah can't but that Allah won't? The Sheikh has talked about needing the carrot and the stick, mercy is standard but harshness is reserved and the exception. If I don't fear Allah, and the consequences of my actions, isn't that Kufr? I don't see how it is negative for a believer to fear a cataclysmic disaster when in crisis. Hasn't Allah historically punished a people when believers reach a point that they assume success, or forgiveness and take for granted Allah's mercy? My understanding is that Allah is calling out the fact that some held doubts that he could save them, not that some had doubts whether or not he would choose to. The believers had recently had the battle of Uhud and the loss of the 80 Sahaba in massacres. Correct me if I'm wrong, I am a recent convert and ignorant, but I'm not aware of any revelation that promised the Muslim''s protection in this situation, indeed, Allah says it was a test.... how can one not fear the outcome when Allah tests you? Would it not be a reasonable fear to think they may be learning a lesson from Allah the hard way? Apologies if I say anything heretical here, it is done in ignorance like I mentioned; kindly let me know.

Assalam o ilekum... to my understanding sheikh Yasir is simply comparing the elite of sahabas (setting the standards high).. as we know that the companions would never fear death as it is martyrdom for them and is what they wish for and would trust Allah swt fully no matter what. Though this incident has shaken them a bit and it is very humanly of them to fear the worst. The companions are called the best of generations and we all love and respect them and look up to them as role models. Hence, the higher expectations to remain firm in their hearts. They were definitely not questioning the decree but from the look of it were having fearful of what and how is it going to happen And Allah knows best!!

One thing I don't understand is how the Qurayshi can have 4000 men for The Battle of Khandaq when the Sheikh had previously said that even before the Hijrah the male population of Makkah wouldn't have been no more than 1000 when the wahi came. I probably misunderstood something I would be appreciative for someone to clear this confusion of mine.

Why he is trying to defend Mawia, when Mawia was in clear error, Even when he was told about the hadith, he replied that it was Ali, who caused the death of Ammar, as he (Ali) brought him to the battle, then according to this logic then Hamza,s killer was Nazubillah Rusual Allah himself. Not only did Mawai was wrong about that. Most of these so called Alims like this guy Yasir never say a word that, During the ninety years of Mawai reign, Hazrat Ali was cursed on the mimber in Juma kutba. Why sunni Alims are quite about it, when he times and again say that he never sugar coat anything and he takes on contraversies, and what about paper and pen hadith. I am not a shia but we sunni;s should be fair not like munafiq;s, only few sunni Alims have addressed these issues, like Maududis, but then this Yasir Qhadi is not an alim. Iqbal has said it right, A quake (half doctor) is bad for your life, and half alim is bad for your deen, very right, applies to people like these half alims. This is no excuse that Sahaba can never be wrong, Even Rasulaalh said to Khalid (when Khalid abused Abdul Rahman binAwaf) you can not abuse my Ashab. When even to Kkalid he is prefering Abdul Rahman bin Awaf as he was among the pionieer sahab. Then where Mawai became muslim only after fateh Makkah. Ibn Umer said it very right. When Mawai governer was giving khutba, ibn umer thought in his heart that you are the people who were basically become muslims by the stick. Even Nabi makes mistakes though very minor, In Quran there are lot of examples of nabis making mistakes. so what to talk about sahabas. Very wrong and unfair treatemtn. This is unfair to Ali. I again should emphsize that I am not a shia.

Why r u listening to his lecture,go and listen lecture of Abul Ala Maududi,that will be better for you,
@ashfaqahmed553910 жыл бұрын
Ahmer khan I already did, and beside that if Seerah of our beloved profet is told I can not resist it, This is not a personal criticism of the speaker but a general criticism of our Sunni speakers, why do they skip not so favourable hadiths to sunnis. This way they loose credibility, rather with all those hadiths there are no such thing as they go agains sahabas except in the case of Mawia. By unnecessay suppressing these hadiths we are doing exactly like what shias do pick and choose the ahadiths. Sunni history has recorded every thing faithfully whether it goes for or against us. It is only alims by picking a chossing and keeping the general public in dark creating a bigger void between sunnis and shias. so much so that they go at a lenght to defend ummawya dynesty to the extent that harm the status of Ahle byat, which is very wrong. Ahle byat we mention in our daily five prayers, they have been mentioned in Quran. ( not Ummawya family ) All four rashidun khalifs are also alluded to in the Quran. We sunnis are driffting towards a directing which is anti shia to the extent that the sanctity of ahle byat is being compromised, That is why now we even blame Imam abu hanifa, Imam shafie, Imam malik, imam hambal apart from many other top ullamas of being Shia. and even Rafdis.

What is the problem with us muslims why are we arguing. We shouldn't say anything if its not good, keeping our mouth shut would be better for us. May Allah swt forgive us all. Amen.
@Ohmz279 жыл бұрын
Ashfaq Ahmed That's a valid argument, but honestly who's sunnah are we best of following? The sunnah of the one who taught to keep quiet if nothing good can be said, or the one who was involved in so and so? Honestly it will be better for Muslims to not let the disputes of previous generations affect our unity today. We should stop clinging to the hatred of others, or at least let our love and hopes for a united ummah prevail. Yes he was in greater error, but he was still a Muslim to the best of our knowledge, so let us shield his transgressions, and inshallah others will also protect us from having our transgressions fill peoples hearts with hatred, and inshallah may we all be among those who's sins will be shielded by Allah on the day of judgment.
