This is one of my favorite songs by Seether, however its been a while since I listened to it. I've been struggling with anxiety and depression lately and after listening to this song a few times and paying attention to the lyrics it hit me in a whole new way. Makes me want to get my guitar out and jam to this song, and their other tunes, like I used to. Great band, great music, and one of my favorite bands to see live.

This guy, Kurt Cobain And Aaron Lewis are the 3 best male vocalists ever in my opinion. All 3 of them had a tough life. All 3 of then wore their heart in their sleeves. My 82 year old dad and I watched this performance together several times before his passing in 08. Him being a guitar player himself he saw the talent these guys have. Every time I think of Seether I have fond memories of my dad and I making memories watching it. One Cold Night is one of the all time greatest live performances and anyone who hasn’t bothered to listen are missing out on a masterpiece.

Cried by his bedside every day next few weeks. Kept saying I'm so sorry, I don't hate you, I love you!!!!..... He squeezed my hand. ...... He never knew me again in that body, in this world. He knew I loved him before I did. That was 30 years ago. Raised 2 beautiful, amazing kids. I don't know shit about anything except my life forever changed as a parent, I AM the man I thought I hated & I live for them! Mistakes made in life are not regrettable if you learned something from them. I'll gladly hold the pain for my kids to never have to feel that way. Thought for sure he'd still be there when I got back or I wouldn't have went. Last words were i'll miss you son. I didn't think too much about it as I'd been oversea's a few times in the past and it wasn't anything him and I hadn't gone through before. Looking back, he meant I'll miss you as I won't be here when you get back. Growing up in modern tumultuous South Africa puts life in a serious perspective. Obviously, Shaun writes usually about personal experiences but Seether always writes and plays with such passion and conviction to the music. I think of the old man when I hear this song. He was the one who first heard of Seether and made sure his kids heard it too. Needles is a killer track for sure, they have so many great songs, it's hard to choose... The Gift, Walk Away from the Sun, Breakdown, weak, Fade out and Nobody Praying for Me are all up there. Alice in Chains (Mad Season) were fuckin amazing as well.

Kurt and Layne are the true unplugged O.Gs . Without Kurt we wouldn't have the likes of Benjamin Burnley or Shaun Morgan who were both inspired to sing and play after hearing the nevermind album by Nirvana

This song, group, album is soooo awesome. Its so rare for a song to hit you sooo deep that I get goose bumps, and feel like I want to cry, but you fight so hard not too. Really sic talent, I am grateful to have the ability to hear beautiful songs such as this. Seether fan for life, even if they never release another album I'll always have these on my playlist.

My elder brother introduced me to Seether on 2005 and I would listen to karma and effect album and sing along with the lyrics which was provided with the cassette. I remember him saying I was a bigger Seether fan than him. My brother passed away on 2006, but I still listen occasionally to all the songs and bands he used to like. I'm glad for the gift he gave me which was the memories and the songs he used to listen to. If anyone reads this, it's a wonderful life. Enjoy! ☺

By Far.. the Best Band Live I've ever seen besides Mudvayne & FFDP. used to hit up every concert I could until life found me and now I have two young children. Not as convienant to just up an leave for a show like it used to be. Through 2003 to 2011 I saw Seether around 6 or 7 times and I was Never disappointed. I'm from Ohio and as Many know that's where Rock Lives. Dayton, OH used to have a narly concert named X-Fest sponsored by their local new rock radio station 103.9 the x. I basically lived for that gig every year until they decided to stop having it. By for the worst descion they ever made. It Definitely was a Great Experience and Definitely Memories I Will Cherish my Entire Life. Of course we also had warped tour, OzzFest and the newer n popular Rock on the Range. Neither one can compare to X-Fest but still a Great Time. Man oh Man do I miss when Rock Sounded like this. Bitter Sweet to say the Least. I can only hope that someday soon I'll flip on the radio and be stunned to hear the stellar rhythm of this era pounding through my speakers. til then I'll live through these "older" tunes. [^8

Still comin back in 2023,THIS is my favorite song by seether,though there are many faves from them...i've seen them twice at ROCKLAHOMA! last year,evanescence played before them,amy lee played call me when your sober,and was just a witch,awesome move on having seether play right after them,it was like their 20 years ago break up playing out in front of the 75,000 people,Shaun Morgan came out swinging and absolutely demolished her,it was hilarious...she's got a beautiful voice,and she's gorgeous,but she's also very ugly as a human being,she's got a habit of kicking people when they're down! thank you Seether for making that the highlight of Rocklahoma for me! i was sad to see you wouldn't be there this year :(

This song makes me think of my depression and how I've had the Gift of this life but wasted most of it battling demons I can't control. It will make you feel guilty and ashamed of not being a better person or being enough!! Your always craving love and to be understood and sometimes you pray because God probably understands and may be the only one who truly ever does. It's a conversation with the almighty!!
