My son shared this song with me this week... I can hear through this song.. .his anguish more than any words he tries to use ..with such sad eyes. TBH Its impossible for anyone to ever know the daily struggle an addict goes through unless they're still an active user or was strong enough and blessed enough to be able to persevere and get their lives back on the right track! This song explains what I can't myself. I fucking love it! I'm not the kind of person who can just blert out my emotions. This explains a lot about how I used to feel when I couldn't even tell my parents why I never left my room and pretended to be sick so I didn't have to go out in public. Personal problems but this song just makes it better. Knowing I'm not the only one who's gone through what I did. :)

Never actually realized he was struggling with the same issue that I am. I used to listen to this song quite often, but I never gleaned the meaning until I got much older. People have always said I have this amazing gift (singing) but I've been "so afraid" of just letting go with it that whenever I step on stage, I get so self-conscious. It's like, the more you hear the words of praise, the less you start to believe them. It probably sounds crazy, but that's how it feels.
