I own the yak130 love e it very nice jet and the viper eflite but fms is behind it amazing aircraft man i will get this avanti and the f16 70mm is nice too

Hey Rich What would be your recommendation for a first EDF ? I have flown , tail dragger , warbirds .. would like something decent size 80mm? I bought a freewing avanti S bit now I am not sure if I should put that on the shelf . Tks for all you do for the hobby and keeping us informed

The Avanti is good as a first EDF. It's got great gear & a wing that flys slow well. If you're not a 100% confident just get someone who is experienced with EDF's to stand next to you as a coach.... you'll be good:)

Hi. Looking at getting an EDF jet from FMS but can't decide whether to get the Viper or the Avanti. Which one is overall better? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Both Are Excellent! I think I actually prefer the AVANTI for its wide flight envelope, very high speed flight, excellent knife edge capability, outstanding slow speed performance, and suspension landing gear! I think the viper now includes flap servos in the box and is also an excellent flyer! Also, check out the FMS FUTURA 80mm.... The FMS FUTURA 80mm is the BEST Sport Jet that FMS Makes!

That is what is sweet about the AVANTI... You get the same performance in a smaller package and at less cost... I am impressed with its wide flight envelope in a small package!

Can I use 6s 5000 batteries on this jet?

I have not tried it if it is a smaller 5000 like an Admiral 50C pack it might work OK but it might be a little heavy as well

It’s a nice flying jet but the landing gear is very weak . I also have the yak it’s another nice plane but same thing the landing gear is poor

The landing gear is fine i own yak and viper they are not too bad probably landings need to be slow flare down a bit
