it’s obviously not a good game but i do like the overall aesthetic…those burning city skylines and forests of power stations beneath that pulsating neon webbed sky, it’s just such a ‘95 sega look. and it’s a fitting send-off for the 32x, being such a janky and unfinished letdown

32x was such a shitshow. Still glad that I waited for the N64 and eventually got a chip-modded PS1 as well. Witnessing SEGA's demise, from top of the line to general awkwardness, was sad. SEGA should re-enter the hardware market with a handheld gaming pc, now is the time.

Haha! I hate the fact that you have to get too close to the right of the screen before it starts scrolling. Is it just janky as hell to control?

@@plume... I just tried it out for the first time today too, and yes, it does feel awkward. There's a weird 'stop and pop' sensation to the movement and actions. Where one minute it flows buttery smooth (running. web-swinging) and the next it feels oddly stiff and off (combat), like Peter Parker's having issues with his joints.

The 32X was such a waste of time. That said, it could have been so much more if marketed properly.

Part of the Struggle with Sega of Japan and Sega of America during that time. Mega drive not being a big success in japan made them push for the Saturn. While Sega of America wanted to keep their large genesis install base and transfer them over to a cartridge based successor that was backwards compatible. Original intention of the 32X was to be a new cartridge system that was cheaper than cd based consoles

If it had come out a couple of years earlier, maybe it could have built up a user base. As it stands it just had no hope being successful, even if SEGA had come out with the Saturn in 96 it still wouldn't make sense to buy it over the upcoming PS1.

Oh my god, it really was utterly awful! They 100% ran out of time/money on this one and just quickly put in some enemies that run at you for the last fight, and no end screen, just credits!
