I picked the version 2 up 6 or 7 years ago from Target here in Australia. It supports rom side loading via sd card once a system update is performed.

Have one of these and it’s not bad with a original Genesis controller. Wish Sega would make a mini like it that reads Genesis cartridges

I bought the 2018 edition. It's better with navigation, closer resembling the original model 1. Also, it has border options instead of black space when it uses the correct aspect ratio. Adding roms to it via the SD card slot on the side is amazing. I turned 85 games built in to about 200. The 2018 edition is the ultimate flashback. I bought my friend one and he loved it.

I still have this system. Sure, it's not perfect but it still brings back memories of playing the OG Megadrive when I was a kid. It's definitely worth picking up.

The revision that came out the following year DOESNT SUCK! I have that one. The “SD card version” fixed what was wrong with this one. And plays Roms. Personally I believe it’s better than the Genesis Mini.

Yeah this one you had to hack, to get it to work right. And that USB port inside would let you side load some stuff after you hacked it by connecting it to a computer.

It was a shame they didn't really market the fact that it was updated, the v2 tanked because of the reviews of the first one. Good for me though, as they cleared stock at a knockdown price so I got the second version for a really low price.

dude not a lot going on inside!? complete ignoring the micro USB port (which can be utilised to hack the console to add more games) I still have this version however in storage as I have its successor connected up (the one with the SD card port). People hating on this just because its Atgames but its good, heck its an android based device and if I remember right its running on cores used for retroarch. It's cool seeing it under fresh eyes again.

I bought this (Genesis) 5 years ago for $70 at a Target. I mounted it on my wall for display lol, I can still open it and play it though.

Yes, mine is really poor, unfortunately. I have other clones, including cheaper ones from AT games themselves, that are better (but still not great).

the second version sounds perfect, it actually uses the Genesis GX Plus core for emulation.Retroarch uses that core for reference

Beste new version of the two the other One has no Bluetooth controller but ir controllers that's the main difference end on the website you can put euro or the American Edition i used American system then you can put your own Roms on on SD card

I indeed have one of these. Not bad. But the main drawback is that the audio is terrible for some of the games - very poor reproduction of the sound from the MD 1 or 2. A shame.

I have the genesis flashback version 2 with sd-card slot and i added all genesis games, about 95 % of the games work without a problem, they look crisp and clean,so imo. it's no trash...
