A short guide on the basics of the Dreamcast Twin Stick peripheral.

Still the best review of the twin sticks on youtube, room reverb aside, you do such a good job of communicating the weight and tactility of this beast. I've been playing Virtual On using the standard DC controller again lately and honestly it's so frustrating that I'm just about ready to shell out ebay prices for one of these babies

When I was growing up there was a arcade version of this that was a huge machine with sits and 2 players and for the time it was a amazing immersive experience Specially as a kid. Sitting in this twin cockpit made you feel like.. a cockpit lol. I never knew it was on dreamcast.

Yeah I'm horrible at virtua on as well. I got the twin sticks, but to me it's really just a conversation piece/novelty. Great video.

A cheaper variation would be the Sega Saturn twinsticks combined with Total Control 3. It would allow the SS twinsticks to be connected to the Sega Dreamcast.

You should try with an SLG 3000 scanline generator, I got the same setup on LCD and with some little scanlines it looks gorgeous. Nice video and awezome games, I got it and without twin stick almost impossible to play. Love twin sticks, wish they were more supported back in the time dreamcast lived. But dreamcast is not dead at all. I still play it.

dude! otogi is one of my favorite Xbox games! that giant centipede demon was so hard to beat but once you got it down it was pretty easy

I was considering buying the Twin Sticks back around 2001-2002 when I was a Dreamcast fanatic. Too bad I can't remember how much they were going for back then. I'm sure it was cheaper than the current price of $100 but I'm thinking they were still kind of high. I remember when Ebgames had used Dreamcast consoles with all the cables and a controller for $14.99. I should have bought 10 or 20 of them back then!

Fernando Nonaka they show up on EBay here and there. But lately they go for around $100 to $200 which is very expensive. They are great to have but at some point I would just Virtual On for Xbox and use the game pad.

Hard to find for less than $200 US at the moment... but keep on the lookout and you can get one for less.

Mark Callaghan I always loved the DC5 Integras! It was definitely on my wish list around the same time, but I was young and having a turbo was top priority at the time :)

Turbo and rear wheel drive! good combination!!. I just picked up a 4th gen prelude project car too. it's the 2.2 vtec with 4 wheel steer. Needs work though

Actually, you can play versus games in split screen. You just need to have a second controller (twin stick or standard) plugged in. For a laugh, play with the twin stick against someone with a standard controller. heheheh

Doktor Qualle you can get later games on Xbox 360 and using the controller is great!

. . . By downloading it? I mean is on XBLA... Or you can get the newer realese "Virtual-On Force" which is JP Exclusive, but I think the disc is region free so it doesn't give problems on other region consoles.
