Just a quick video on the old SEGA Genesis 3 console.
This one needed a bad mod removed and a general tidy up.

im disappointed you didnt at least repair the holes in the plastic.. you could have done so with a number of epoxy based products

Hi. Just purchased a Genesis 3 off eBay but since am reading lots regarding fakes. How can I identify mine is fake or genuine please? Also, I've heard if genuine these are region free. Is this true? Thanks.

Where did you buy it? If from china, it's fake. Turn it on without a cart, does it have built in games? If so, it's a fake. Is the sound abnormal? If so, it's a fake.

My guess is it was some kid that didn't have the proper av cable so they borrowed daddy's solder iron and did this to make a permanent solution. Back then this was a cheap third edition of a dead system.

i'm late to the video but i would guess someone had this and the cable broke and this was so late in the cycle they couldn't find a replacement local , no internet yet you know

The 9 position mini DIN socket is too far recessed for many aftermarket 9P mDIN cables so someone may have even resorted to this after the cables they got wouldn’t fit.

Pal games run at 50Hz not 60Hz

You can run the vast majority at 60, the data on the cartridge is almost always the same, the difference is in what speed the console chooses to run them at
