Keep that sharpened composite look for sure, that look is the future. I do notice that "tint" issue that everyone is mentioning though. If by chance you wanna spice things up in the color department maybe you can take a stab at adding in the "grade" shader into the mix, just be prepared for hours of more tweaking as that will open the door to a whole new look lol

Cheers John, I'm glad you think so - that waterfall is a ballache to get right lol. Comix Zone also really tests the shader's limits. Test it out on Eternal Champions if you ever get a chance

Do you have any plans to do a Turbografx 16/PC Engine shader? I've started playing Caslevania Rondo of Blood and I've been using your NES Clean shader but only because the artistic style of games on this system reminds me more of the NES than the other systems. I'm curious if you would think one of your other shaders would be better? It is technically a 16 bit machine

PCE is definitely on the menu - I promise I'll get to it eventually. I would assume that the Mega Drive presets would work well, but I can't say for certain. Incredible work! Do you happen to have this pack in glsl format as opposed to slang? Running Retroarch on Nintendo Switch so can't use Vulkan on there (hence no slang) and would love to try these out!

This is so great man. I love your Shaders, they are the only ones I use now. I've tried to add the glass reflection effect to them but my Odin 2 Retroarch just crashes so I'm not sure how to get that added to these. Thank you for all the hard work you do. For Gameboy, GBC, and GBA I use a Dot.slang with linear on. It works for me but I do wonder how your version would turn out. You rock bro!

Great work! I think on a modern screen it would be nice to have a shader preset that looks somewhere halfway between raw pixels and your clean preset, so they are soft but less blurry. I wonder, is it even possible to have both?

Is there a guide by Guest or yourself that explains all the settings in the Shader? I really like the Mega Drive one but I find even the clean one a bit blurry; it makes my eyes go a bit funny! I want to be able to make informed changes to these great presets to suit my tastes. Also, if you remove the blurryness on the Mega Drive preset, does the transparency effect leave in games like Sonic? Thanks!

Hi, do you have any recommendations for something like this for a SNES classic? It plays genesis games really well but is not the most powerful hardware when it comes to shaders so im looking for something like this but using far less shaders and GL. Great work this looks cool.

That's a great question - honestly I'm not too sure as I've never tried shaders on a SNES classic. I know these work on a Raspberry Pi 4 however

​@@RetroCrisis Its not near the power of as a Pi 4. This console cannot play PS1 as a benchmark. I be happy to test some stuff though, with the trickiest part is figuring what the lowest amount shaders would be. Things like scanlines and Aperture grille could be skipped for example. The console includes scanlines by the way.

Amazing work! I noticed that this Shader "cuts" a bit of the vertical ratio. Basically it seems to trim down a bit of the vertical aspect ratio. Is this normal?

When changing to the clean shader, the vertical aspect gets decreased (squashed) and black bars show up at the top and bottom (no change to the horizontal aspect). I don’t seem to have the issue with the dirty shader and bars are present in both the 1080p and 4K shader.

If youre on an oversaturated OLED try setting saturation to .65 and brightness to .93 in settings. I found this resulted in an image that didnt assault my eyes 😂. Otherwise this shader is perfect. These settings are tuned for the retroid pocket 5 so YMMV. Even without a shader the game is overbright and saturated.
