Incredibly interesting. I knew near to nothing about this system, and have now added a few titles to my Saturn watch list! Coincidentally we’ve an arcade nearby and when visiting b4 Christmas played Shienryu; an absolutely superb title. I’ll never be able to afford radiant silver gun but have to give it a go!! Will emulate it somehow. Great vid, your knowledge (and enthusiasm!) always shines through. Cheers👍

thanks mate really appreciate you taking a look, Shienryu is such an amazing shooter and doesnt get enough praise ! Definitely find a way to play RSG, luckily there are a few ODE's out now for the Saturn so it easier to get access to some of these ridiculously expensive games ! cheers for watching buddy.

Hello fellow Northerner. Nice collection. Quick comment to see if you agree really. That Purikura Daisakusen plays a lot like Sega's Moonwalker in my opinion. Do you see the similarities in the way it plays ? Top game. I love the protective cover you have on your board. Super cool. Nice clean video, well spoken and you're clearly a lover of the game as am I. That's my two cents. I'm out Shoooooryuuukeeeen !!

Thanks mate, thanks for checking out the vid and the kind words ! Definitely see what you mean about similarities of Moonwalker on the system 18 and Purikura Daiskusen, both are kind of isometric shooters ! recently being playing Moonwalker on the system18 multi for the first time since playing it in the arcades as a kid, its still fun but not as amazing as I remember. Thanks again, I really appreciate the comments, take it eazy mate

Just like Retro Ed I didn’t know much about the Titan just the Saturn and added a couple of titles to my want list. What a superb collection mate. That hard case for your STI is one sexy piece of kit if I can say that without sounding perverse. Lol 😂

Not a system I've ever seen before, I tend to just collect for the consoles and 8bit computers. Giving up smoking is a great way of funding your addiction 😆. Amazing collection.

Hey! Really enjoyed your video and I was so inspired by your VHS case idea I ordered a bunch for myself! I'm struggling to resize the Southtown artwork and getting a good print out... Do you still have your modified ones or could you tell me how you resized them?
@red7even52
@red7even52 2 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, The VHS case is the perfect size, but you are right its a real pain to resize the artwork, I did it years ago so unfortunately I cant find the files anymore. If I remember correctly I cut the southtown artwork into 3 parts - Front, back and spine I then resized each piece to fit a VHS cover template, the spine gets a bit stretched but it kind of works ! good luck and thanks for checking out the vid.

30:53 Exactly! Arcade games shouldn't be about being able to finish them or 1cc them, but enjoying them.When these games were new no one was like bro have you even 1cc'd it yet? They were about getting to experience them and trying your best with the amount of money you had to spend on them. Back in the day when i lived in Japan i used to have a budget of 1000-2000 yen and next time it was fun to see how much further i would get with the same amout of coins.
@red7even52
@red7even52 2 жыл бұрын
Very true, At the end of the day its about enjoying the game, yeah it was like that, as a kid with a limited budget I would use up a couple of coins to try out a couple of new games, but there were one or two machines that were my favourites, that I aways went back to and tried to get that little bit further and get to the next boss ! for me it was Gun.smoke then later Commando and Ghouls n Ghosts !

What a great story how you gave up smoking in order to buy it bitd, even better that you've still kept it up to this day, couple of slight hiccups but nothing major, that's fantastic. I guessed what's number one when you mentioned ikaruga lol sadly I've never got into either, I know I'm missing out and I'll hopefully one day give them some time. I used to play the early virtua fighters quite a lot bitd but lost interest a bit tbh, had a bit of a revival with the dc game for me. Final fight revenge, I don't like that either but only played it on the Saturn which I sold ages ago, before its price went silly lol Never heard of that elandore game before, looks interesting might have a look at the Saturn version. Love the power instinct games, fantastic series of fighters. Nice to see loads of shooters towards the top end of the list, love guardian force on the Saturn, picked up that switch set but it's still sealed lol cotton is yet another fave series of stg's for me, shienryu is pure quality, too. Thanks for showing us your amazing stv collection 👍
@red7even52
@red7even52 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mate, yeah i needed a kick and an incentive to get of the cigarettes, and there is nothing better than the fear of losing your fav game to stay off them🤣 If you like shooters then you have to get into Ikaruga, think its also on the switch now, so many amazing shooters on the saturn and sadly most of them stayed in Japan ! Shienryu is so underrated, such a classy stg. cheers for watching buddy.

@@red7even52 I promise to give ikaruga and rad silva a proper go, fed up of people saying how good they are but I'm still in the dark, obviously its not that I don't like them, they are both on the pile of shame of games I've barely played, that pile I'm sure is bigger than the pile of games I have played for a fair amount of time lol I missed out on the newer ikaruga versions, just have the dc and gc ports, I had a spell of being pretty fed up with all the new stg releases being either rehashes or simply awful lol I'm getting more into the current gen shooters now as there are some great packages and quality games but haven't caught up with them all fully, I keep chipping away though. Btw, arrived here by Eddie's recommendation 👍

Well that was an amazing video, enjoyed every minute from beginning to end. Used to have a Supergun back in the 90"s but never had many games for it. This looks amazing and something I've not seen much of before. Love the custom case you have for the motherboard and the VCR case idea is great. Do you still buy games for it now or do you have all you want? Thanks so much for sharing this one, so interesting 👍

Cheers mate, really glad you enjoyed it, the system is definitely a passion of mine 😂, I am probably finished collecting for it as the only games i dont have that are playable are Cotton 2 and i have that on the Saturn and Batman which is very difficult to find (I think its not even cart and PCB with a CD addon). I did almost pick up Cotton 2 a couple of months ago from Suragaya but I think they realised I snagged it a low price and claimed it was out of stock🤣🤣🤣, cheers for watching buddy and looking out for your next vid !
